Greeting from Surabaya

Hi my name is Andy I am new to this forum. I am a medical doctor in Surabaya. Yesterday i had an expat patient visiting my emergency room (i can not enclose any additional information since it is confidential). Our communication was going pretty smoothly, at least from my point of view, and in the end we can come to the individual targeted therapy (because the patient has some rare drugs allergic). I was very excited and glad if i could be of some help to him. This experience inspires me to go to this forum. Perhaps i can be acquainted to expats who live in Indonesia, Surabaya especially, so we can be partner in learning english-indonesia or any other language. Thank you and I hope you enjoy your stay in Indonesia.

That's a good question, something that puzzles us expats, also rubbing with a coin, I cannot really see what that does except very sore looking red marks

Welcome Doctor Andy ..it's great to hear your interest in trying to communicate with the visitors to this wonderful country of yours. One of the scariest parts of living here and still having a very limited ability to speak the language
Is having to deal with a medical emergency. So far we had no problems (thank God most doctors I've meet speak much better English than I do bahasa. Any way welcome.
