GLP1 medications, Ozempic, Trulicity, etc in Indonesia. Genuine or generic

Hello, I’ve been in the US since the end of last year. I’ve been getting Trulicity to help with lowering my A1C for my type 2 diabetes. It’s also helped me lose some weight, and not have frequent food cravings.

My insurance covers the entire cost in the US, but not anywhere else.

I’d like to be able to keep taking these weekly injections at home to keep me healthy, as long as it’s a genuine product or real generic equivalent. Pricing has been coming down a lot in the US, where it was previously $1000 per month. I can’t readily afford that in Indonesia, but was hoping there are reasonable GLP1 medications I could use there.

At https://www.mims.com/indonesia , Ozempic is there but Trulicity is not (it may indicate that Ozempic is officially imported/distributed and Trulicity may not be officially imported/distributed , I am not sure) .

I searched for "jual ozempic" and jual trulicity" , both are available in Indonesia . I have no idea of how safe it is to buy them online . I guess you may find them at the pharmacy of big hospitals too .

I just returned from the US, and only had 3 weeks of Trulicity left. I have been happy with my current 3.0mg dosage. I had asked my normal Indonesian pharmacist for Trulicity a year or two ago, but they could not get it. I had my wife check again this month, and they had the 1.5mg dosage available for 2.5 million Rupiah for 4 weekly doses.

Just got my first box in and compared the self injector, packaging, etc to my Trulicity prescription I got in the US this month. Everything looks legit. It does list some Indonesia info on it, but says both US and Italy for worldwide distribution. Expiration date is November 2026.

I’m not sure if the distributor is clearing out older stock, or if this is an Indonesian price going forward. I will try this medication, once I finish off my US injectors. I know the reference retail price for the 1.5mg dosage in the US was about $1000 a month. I don’t want to deal with normal needles and vials, and much prefer these self injector types.
