Selamat pagi!
I haven´t flight locally for a few years, and before, the almost only one I used it was air asia, I have seen there is two airlines companies I am no familiar with, Super Air Jet and Trasnusa, just wondering if you have any experiences flying with them! terimakasi, have a beautiful day!

Although some people here will say you can only trust Garuda, there’s nothing wrong with those newer low cost airlines.

The only issue is that the delay increases exponentially the further you get into the day. So try to leave the early morning.

Super Air Jet and TransNusa fly from domestic terminal 3 in Soekarno Hatta, which i personally like.

Acquaintances say TransNusa and Super Air Jet aren't bad to fly. It sounds like there are fewer delays on TransNusa.
Just FYI Super Air Jet is a newer Lion /Batik /Wings brand while TransNusa was relaunched a few years ago with Chinese backing and a fleet of A320/1's and ARJ21's. The Airbus fleet aren't spring chickens.

We often use tiket.com (without a c) for bookings. Don’t bother too much with which airline, just the time and price.

And it is illegal.
It is a bit complicated, it seems there can be exceptions.
And not all banks / credit card providers apply the same rules.

And in the US it seems to be state by state.

There are also different rules for debit cards and credit cards.

Personally I seldom accept it. In the above case I would fly with another airline, even if they are 5% more expensive.

Sorry for the thread jacking.

tidak apa!
Precisely the reason why I wanted to buy the tickets on the Transnusa website was because of that, because I wanted to refuse to pay that commission, but after filling out all the information three times and the Transnusa website not working and they also didn't answer me on WhatsApp or Facebook, I got a little stressed and wanted to do it quickly and in the end I ended up paying, but when I finished everything, a survey came up that asks you if you would recommend Air Asia and I said no and I said that I didn't agree with them charging us a commission for paying with a Visa card.

to come back I will use ticket.com to buy the tickets or traveloka, I guess they are no charging for paying with visa.
I realized too late that the same tickets were cheaper in ticket.com, I did things too quick! lesson learned!
Have a nice day

Some may want to look at which airline if they're concerned with the chance of delay or comparative maintenance quality.

I used to use Expedia.com very successfully until a couple of years ago. They would always show low prices but when you went to book it, the price had went up. Noticed the "problem" on the website but had the same issues when trying to book live with an agent as well. Don't know if they ever got their act back together but I have been booking directly with the airlines since then.

I think there’s probably only one person here who will start investigating OTP’s provided by MoT from the last couple of years before booking a flight, but be my guest. Some might also be interested in booking where they collect miles or which terminal the airline leaves from and others in the color of the uniforms the flight attendants wear. After having done all these domestic trips with the low cost airlines I’m numb and more interested in ‘the airline’ for the intercontinental & international flight.

Yeah. Expedia I used more for hotels, but even there they can’t really compete with Agoda. And if you don’t use them for some time, they remove your status and you won’t get any real deals anymore. With online agents it can be hit and miss, in quite some cases they are even cheaper than the airline directly. At least they show you (as Google does) all the options and flight times. But you can be screwed also, and customer protection is not great here.

It’s still the same, or was last month when I used them to check flights.

The chances of getting to the destination on time or alive do matter to some.

Sure Bob, the planes here drop like flies 🙄
"Garuda Indonesia was allowed back into European airspace in July 2009, after being banned for a period due to safety concerns. The EU had initially placed all Indonesian airlines, including Garuda, on a blacklist in 2007. However, following improvements in Indonesia's aviation safety, Garuda was among the first to be removed from the list and allowed to resume operations in Europe. "

FWIW, I have had one experience flying on Super Air Jet. A couple of years ago, my family and I booked return tickets from Jakarta to Bali on Lion Air. The return flight was canceled, and we were put on Super Air Jet. The experience was effectively identical to flying on Lion Air; the only difference was the uniforms worn by the flight attendants. No complaints. The outbound Lion Air flight was ontime, and the return Super Air Jet flight was delayed by about an hour; no big deal.

You might want to look at the data. Or just remain blissfully unaware. Up to you.

It’s good to see you havent changed a thing and are still the bitter man with the sarcastic non-argumented one liners, Bob.

Anyway, we have been over this a million times, also in our long Davita thread about aviation info.

Indonesia had -on a population five times as big- one more accident than France in the last 20 years. And is on spot 7 or so in absolute amounts, after the US, Russia, ….
