Five Year KITAP (family reunification - spouse sponsored) Eligibility

Ok. I did a search to make sure I wasn't getting early dementia. Here is the thread and the post that gave me the impression that it started from the date of registration. Maybe I still misunderstand or the rules have changed.

Thankyou

Mod note:

@snpark and @fastpitch17, a gentle reminder to keep it strictly on topic in law section. I have removed a number of posts which were deviating from the original conversation.

I notice there is a process on the front page of this site about how to apply for a spousal KITAS. I believe it's outdated since it's dated 2016. Does anyone know the if there is instructions for applying for, besides those in the imigrasi website, those are confusing. If not when I find out the process maybe I'll update it. My wife doesn't know the process so we are looking because we don't want to use a sponsor this time. They charge way too much.

Isn't that the same. The date of the marriage as registered with CS
Not necessarily. You can get married under Kementarian Agama whenever and not register the marriage with Catatan Sipil until years later. I think we did it within a year, at least, of our marriage, but I'll have to check to be sure.

False. 2 years from the date of marriage on the marriage certificate.

Pak Asam Manis isn't worried about date if marriage. He's been married for most of his life I think.
:D Ten and a half years (since December 2011). I survived (and occasionally thrived) Single, for some 45 years before that.
