Hi everyone

Wil like to inquire the above.
Someone said that I just have to hold kitas and do renewal thrice and I will be eligible to apply for KITAP

I'm holding on to investor kitas over here.

It depends on the type of your (K)ITAS .
I'm holding on to investor kitas over here.
Article 179 of PerMen no.22 Year 2023 - free translation
(1) The conversion of an ITAS to an ITAP for a foreigner investor , ... is granted provided that the foreigner concerned has been in Indonesia for at least 3 consecutive years from the date the ITAS was granted.

What if I hold a 2 years investor KITAS for some reason cannot be renew. Which has some account creation issue, and later I create another 2 years of investor KITAS

Does this breakage consider consective yeas?

Your KITAS will only reach the 3 consecutive years if you extend (renew) it .
Note : 'Extension' is the Immigration process' name

By the way , if you cannot extend it , you must request an EPO/Exit Only Permit (before the KITAS expiration day) to cancel the KITAS , otherwise you will have trouble to get a new Indonesian Visa later .

I'm not worried to lose my kitas as I'm from ASEAN country and we can stay there up to 30 days ...
issue is I cannot get the continuity and to qualify for KITAP

I can't understand why , because KITAS and KITAP basically give us (foreigners) the same benefits .
I thought it convenient that when you get the Retirement Kitap permit you don't need to deal with the immigration for five years! And after the five years is complete, you pay a fee then, but after that you don't have to pay anymore? Just check in? If you know if that is incorrect, please tell us what is going to happen after your first five years is up, and you payed, what does happen?

Correct, but you know the fee for the "permanent retirement KITAP" ?
Ask your agent.... you're in for a BIG surprise !

I know it's a big price! I don't even know if I live that long. One thing is for sure, Indonesia got a lot of my Money! Over the Years! I see now I had so much in America, and now it's all gone, except for a few nice statues from Bali, and my Kids and Grandkids? I had such attachments to some things and still miss the attachment. So many wonderful memories, that I will hold on forever! I had Heartbreaks, that after 20 years that I'm still pissed off about. You can only forget, but you don't have to forgive! I see Bali with different eyes now also. So I will wait 4 years until it's time to get my final Kitap, if I make it that long? ✌️👍🙏🥳🤷🏼‍♂️

The lifetime KITAP was 10 or 11 juta when I got it 5 years ago. Just did a renewal, which was a bit of a PITA, and paid 8 juta more for the lifetime MERP.

What a shame, People have to pay for the right to leave the country, and come back! These People support thousands of low income Indonesian People living here. Most of these People are retired and live on a pension. They should be allowed to come and go for free, and just pay for the Kitap Visa!

That's the spouse visa. With the wife as sponsor.
The non married retirement lifetime KITAP is 88 million, included the lifetime MERP. With the agent as sponsor.
And in case you want start the yearly thing over again from scratch, the prices have been "adjusted" there as well.
23 m the 1st year (it was 9 m 8 years ago), 15 m the following ones....
Make the calculation....
A mate paid 77 a few years ago and another was quoted 90 m 6 months ago.
AT 88 m hopefully I live 10 more years (72 now), otherwhile the R.O.I. is not so good.

You probably paid Rp10.2 million for the ITAP + Rp1.75 million for the 2 years MERP (total Rp11.95 million) .

Immigration charges Rp15 million for the unlimited KITAP + Rp8 million for the unlimited MERP , so the agent will have a profit of Rp65 million (for maybe around 2 hours online work) .

Visa + KITAS + MERP = Rp7 million (agent's profit of Rp16 million) .

KITAS + MERP (extension) = Rp4.5 million (agent's profit of Rp10.5 million) .

Non married retirement KITAS / KITAP you HAVE to go through an agent....
I suppose you know that.

A dutch guy, faced with the same issue (90 m) choosed to marry his companion and go for the spouse sponsor ITAP.
To each his own. No way I would do it.
No way my visa depends on a woman....
