There is a vaccine check - you need to have minimum of 2 vaccines to enter Indonesia. Each time I enter the country my covid application is scanned to check my vaccine status and they do it to all people entering.

Just flew from Jakarta (CGK) to Bali (DPS) and no check was done or requested app checkin as is done in malls. I was surprised.

You’re not asked to scan the barcode with the PL app anymore to enter the malls. But they very often still take your temperature and demand you to wear a mask in public transportation and crowded public places as banks, malls, etc. The only ones I’ve seen not doing that are foreigners of course. And locals don’t dare to say anything.

For adults in most cases there is still a requirement of full vaccination plus one booster for domestic travel and full vaccination for international arrivals. The enforcement of these rules has been greatly reduced, and seems to vary largely from airport to airport. Many reports for international entry to Bali say that vaccinations are not checked upon arrival, but are frequently checked by airlines before departure.

When I was returning to Indonesia from DFW, at check in I was asked to show everything and then again at the departure gate. Arriving in Jakarta, no one blinked an eye or asked for anything other than my passport and KITAP.

Here in Hong Kong we're still required to wear masks and students must still submit R.A.T. results each morning. o_O😠 The QR code phone app is no longer required thank God. The mass psychosis continues...

I flew in from US to Bali yes yesterday. No checks at all in Bali for vax, but when I checked into my flight, they checked my Vax cert and made sure I had the Peduli App installed before letting me proceed.

Ya that has generally been my experience since Dec 2022. What was a bit odd on my last trip back is they did it at the check in counter and at the gate they wouldn't let you board until they rechecked your vaccine certs.

OK I'm sure the answer is obvious, but I take it that flying out of the US pretty much nothing is asked anymore? Back in mid 2022 at least American Airlines folks at the front counter were not updated (granted things changed pretty much weekly) they didn't let me have my boarding pass cause they said Indonesia required negative PCR, etc and Japan also required the same (which they didn't for transit)...had to insist them to check again...it was just a quick few minutes debate but enough to give me anxiety at 7 in the morning!

Also I think just in case...I'll just screen shot all my vaccine certificates before my peduli app update...

Had to show proof of vaccination and the Peduli app before I could board in the US a few months ago. Sounds like that is still happening in the US according to Vanantu.

Easy enough..thanks!

Don’t forget to keep your KITAP and KTP on hand by if you have no return flight.

Ah yes....I was overzealous in cleaning up my phone's memory so I deleted my vaccine's screenshot, I mean...government made apps is very reliable...right? Nothing can happen to it! Well, pedulilindungi pretty much stopped working today and when I tried to update to that Sehat new app or something...it wouldn't let me update.

I do have my first two vaccines printed onto a plastic card that I can carry in my wallet...hope that's enough for future International trip...

I don't remember needing the 3rd shot proof outside of Indonesia.

Well, since 1 February 2022, the proof of vaccination is valid within Europe for 270 days after the last injection. So quite many countries required a booster, not that long ago.

In the past they would just look at my MERP in my passport, but earlier this week they wanted to see that and my KTP in addition to the Vax and Peduli app. A little over zealous as they also wanted to see my e-customs declaration already completed, I told them I would do it on my layover in case I bought anything at duty free and that it didn't actually have to be completed until arrival.
