About 5% in, Ahok is still winning, if that makes you feel a bit better. Although I wonder if the real count can be very different from the quick count?

The gap is too big indeed. I know it is extremely unlikely but I keep a sliver of hope. I keep following the kawal pilkada real count and at 8% count, Ahok is still ahead with 52%. I know it's stupid but it does my head so much. I keep refreshing this page hoping that the real count will be different and I die a little bit inside every time I see that percentage drop whenever new data is added.

But can you imagine if it's true? Would the ensuing chaos be worth the satisfaction of wiping that smile off their faces?

Here's some reading for you. But don't forget your tinfoil hat! In this day and age of misinformation, I would take some of the statements with a grain of salt but some of it seems true.

They are scared of being prosecuted so they will recreate it and kill the communists and of course with a US connection like in 1965 that can't be spelled out rationally which he tries to weave in again at the end by mentioning Donald Trump. I am sure there is a lot of stuff that goes on behind the scenes and he may have captured some glimpses of it and distorted fabricated/grossly overstated other aspects.

Forget about the ISIS remarks in the title etc. (even when we know where the allegiance of FPI etc is). It's about the dissertation that Prabowo is using three pawns to get to power again; Tommy, Zon and Tanoe. One has the religious and commercial connection, one the political branch, the other the business side and link with the US government. The funny (ahum) thing is of course that Tanoe is a Chinese Christian...

You would be absolutely wrong about that. Nairn knows more about Indonesian political nuances than just about every other journalist.

The only glaring mistake in that article is his musing that Prabowo may accept a second fiddle position to Hary Tanoe, or that such a ticket would poll any better than the other way around.
