Please, advice about buying something from USA? terimakasi

Bringing things in your luggage legally has a $500 or so limit on what a single person can bring in. Many people would not bring something in that would use up their duty free allowance. Otherwise, there will be a tax/Vat fees charged.

GLP1 medications, Ozempic, Trulicity, etc in Indonesia. Genuine or generic

Hello, I’ve been in the US since the end of last year. I’ve been getting Trulicity to help with lowering my A1C for my type 2 diabetes. It’s also helped me lose some weight, and not have frequent food cravings. My insurance covers the entire cost in the US, but not anywhere else. I’d like to...

Certainly better to find someone who is flying to Indonesia to bring it. Wow, $549. That would really blow someones import allowance.

Any Tips/Tricks for Cargo (household) to US (West Coast) ?

A 20 foot or 40 foot container are usually the most economical. I’m not sure if there will be tariffs for bringing things into the US. Google brings up some names, but none I recall being mentioned here.

Are you paying for it out of your own pocket?

Indonesian comedians keep calm and carry on amid police reports

Is this about the Netflix comedy special Mens Rea? Lots of jokes about Indonesian politics. I watched the two opening acts, plus some of the headliner.

Any experience buying or using a electric wheelchair, kursi roda listrik please? Terimakasi

I’m just talking about the batteries recommended for my wheelchair. I’m not sure if airlines would carry two pretty big batteries in the wheelchair, in their hold.

Any experience buying or using a electric wheelchair, kursi roda listrik please? Terimakasi

I haven’t seen wheelchairs using lithium batteries. Similar to motorcycle or car batteries.

Any experience buying or using a electric wheelchair, kursi roda listrik please? Terimakasi

I have two large batteries on my wheelchair. I don’t run the batteries totally down, and usually only use the chair when I go to a hotel or mall. So, I’d say I only charge for 5-6 hours, maybe 10 times a year. I don’t consider that it costs a lot to charge. We try to charge only when we are...

Any experience buying or using a electric wheelchair, kursi roda listrik please? Terimakasi

Yes, as long as you are sure on the model, no need to buy in Bali. If you’d like to see one in operation, it might be helpful to check it out. Ideally, you’d want one with solid tires. And one that can accept standard makes of batteries. My type of wheelchair uses a pair of 12 volt, 75ah, which...

Soaring Debt in Many Big Economies

The US has done so many short sighted things, that a new pandemic, or serious financial event will cause worldwide pain. Because of tariff threats to most major trading partners, many have unattached themselves from the US economy in a big way. It doesn’t look good for the US in the long term.

Any experience buying or using a electric wheelchair, kursi roda listrik please? Terimakasi

I looked at the Youtube videos you listed. Whatever you do, do not get the very fast version that goes 20-40kph. While it might be exciting for the kid, it is much likelier to get them seriously injured. I‘d suggest a top speed of 6-7kph. It’s for safe transport, not a motorbike wheelchair...

Any experience buying or using a electric wheelchair, kursi roda listrik please? Terimakasi

As someone who regularly uses an electric wheelchair in Indonesia, there can certainly be some pitfalls. First, the good things. There are many affordable wheelchairs made in China that would probably cost $500 or less. You want to make sure that replacement batteries are available in...

    New guy

So many pitfalls trying to acquire properties. Might be easy enough to “buy” one, but hard to get your money out. Too many paid experts there will tell you anything is possible, and then disappear when big problems pop up.

What are you doing for N.Y. evening ?

Stay home. Relax. Half the years I go to sleep early, if the fireworks aren’t too loud. Lots of loud fireworks in US tonight.

Custom values for bringing phone from outside the country

Looking in the US, the resale price is $200-300 for these. Even less, if the condition is worse.

Custom values for bringing phone from outside the country

My wife is thinking of giving our teen her old iphone 12 Pro with 256gb storage when she flies back from USA next month. She has only used this with a US sim card in Indonesia previously, and it’s never been registered in Indonesia. My wife’s phone was purchased new in the US 4-5 years ago. I...

    Bringing in Aussie meat

I’ve taken perishable items in luggage up to 30 hours before. Usually butter, cheese, cooked ham. Often will freeze the items, and put in a refrigerated bag. I originally put cold freeze packs inside, but just found the frozen items worked better, and let me bring more stuff.

    Bringing in Aussie meat

We rarely bring any alcohol in. In fact the last bottle we brought in 2020 or 2021 hasn’t even been opened.
