    I think your dislike of Jakarta is showing through. At worst a few places in jakarta have floods for 3-4 hours about twice a year. It rains most days and doesnt flood.

    I suspect that it applies to quite a few of us on the chat group but again one other clear distinction - we dont have citizenship. Our permits to stay would be revoked if we committed crimes.

    Well i just quickly read it and Bob is correct. Its not worth anyones time. To me its clear: Expat is temporary, work related and does not involve getting citizenship and defintiely does not involve recieving benefits from the host country

    "The man, originally from Algeria, previously faced deportation proceedings but eventually received Irish citizenship a decade ago." So yes...Irish now but should have been revoked before and definitely originally an immigrant.

    I did and google just showed up with a bunch of those charities like care for calais which we are actively making the immigration problem much worse. What point were you trying to make?
