There's still no convincing argument here that what you fear is a real possibility. Those wanting establishment of a caliphate in Indonesia are a small fringe of the total population. Where's real evidence of popular support today and substantial funding? Those referenced posts don't contain that.
Nice sentiment but the facts are a bit hazy.
There's conflicting information on whether Trump's notification to Congress met the terms of the War Powers Resolution.
There's plenty of evidence of Iran enriching uranium. They themselves publicize it. It's the working on a nuclear weapon thing...
A little bit of study and forethought and it wouldn't come out sounding so ignorant. Look at the good with the bad, meaning there are distinct benefits to being female too. . Maybe compare with other scriptures.
Those are fringe groups. Is there really a movement with significant popular and financial support that has at least a moderate chance to accomplish what you’re worried about?
Yes there have been such movements. At one time PKI and Permesta were influential too. The question is about today...
I didn't comment on how it started. I was refuting the notion that how Aceh got Sharia can be a model and stepping stone for other regions. Remember that it was offered as a sweetener during discussions to end 30 years of war, after the tsunami.
I haven't heard of anything along those lines for quite a while but of course I may have missed some news. Who are those groups and what are they doing?
If you say that Aceh is a model and stepping stone then I was wrong, you don't know how Aceh came to have Sharia law. Or could you explain how...
I haven’t been keeping up with such things lately. Is there really a movement with significant popular and financial support that has at least a moderate chance to accomplish what you’re worried about? Or are the complaints maybe based in a professional victimhood mentality?
You mention the law...
Thank you for the clarification there.
Yes Tennessee has their form of Sharia but not to the extent Kentucky does. In both states, whether alcohol sales are legal is decided by referendum in individual counties. Some allow none at all, some allow beer and wine only, and some allow liquor...
Thanks. I suppose there's some local funding too. I'm not sure we can say that dealing with PAS is dealing with the Afghan Taliban though. PAS isn't their proxy and they have their political differences.
Israel’s already taken over almost all of the yellow area and put settlements on most of that. There’s not really room left for a viable state unless the settlements are vacated, which isn’t likely.
