18000 to 1 USD sure seems to be right around the corner.
I certainly thought with all the nonsense going on in the US that it would be going in the opposite direction.
We had problems last year with the drainage pipes. Someone had poured grease down the kitchen sink, and over time, a pretty solid blockage happened way down the pipes.
It’s always an adventure here, for sure!
We’ve been having peculiar electrical issues in our house this week. Tripping both upstairs and downstairs breakers at the same time. No air fryer or microwave usage, and not during a time all lights are on.
I ended up turning my 1/2 pk AC off a couple of nights. Then it happened again at about...
I recall a long time ago, Atlantis posted about getting the highest interest rate, through a BPR, although this may have been the old forum. Gold gifts, etc.
I keep changing USD as the rate goes up. Just paid the next school years tuition, so less than a year of IDR in the account now.
Most imported stuff I bring in my luggage. I’d guess 90% of purchases I make in Indonesia are locally sourced. I can obviously get by without a lot of imported stuff...
I’ve had those in Costa Rica. Pretty good. I think they often make them into juices or smoothie type drinks.
Are they readily available here? I’ve never seen them in Bandung.
I can understand being concerned with flying through the middle east. While I don’t share the same concerns with flights at this point.
I‘ve flown some ME airlines in the last 20 years. Mostly in business or first. Emirates, and Saudia. My wife flew on Qatar two years ago. On a revenue ticket...
CGK and MAD are cheaper hubs to fly in and out of for many airlines. If you can buy a cheap connecting flight it’s often worth the effort, as a separate ticket.
$633 RT Saudia coach, DPS-BCN, with connections. Dry airline. I’ve flown them in business class and they were fine.
One way fares are fine, as long as you check out the return fare costs. Some fares using one way tickets can be cheaper, or wildly more expensive.
You can often find RT biz class tickets for €2000-3000 to Europe. Given the extra baggage allowance and seat comfort, and sometimes more flexibility...
I think being chained to only one airline is a big disadvantage.
Look at price differentials between a one way and RT ticket. I went back to the US for almost 5 months recently, and went on one way tickets. Sent my 13 year old back by herself on a Starlux flight, with only a single stop in...
I just returned from the US, and only had 3 weeks of Trulicity left. I have been happy with my current 3.0mg dosage. I had asked my normal Indonesian pharmacist for Trulicity a year or two ago, but they could not get it. I had my wife check again this month, and they had the 1.5mg dosage...
