    EV in Indonesia

True, but it isn't generally very cold in the tropics. This is the same as using veggie oil in diesel engines. It clogs up your injectors if you live in a cold country, but it's fine when the weather is warmer.

    EV in Indonesia

Are you saying the whole world should scrap solar because some can't use it? Desert areas can't use water, but it powered the early part of the industrial revolution in England. Eskimos aren't going to get much of a tan, but half of the women in England go crazy for one. Your point seems a...

    EV in Indonesia

True, but panels will be more efficient and batteries will be very different. Scotland will have tropical rain forests, or be under 10 yards of snow. Scotland has lots of wind, especially on Friday nights after they down skin full of whatever.

Time is the key. Motor cars were no match for horses not many years ago. Solar is still weak, but that's today.

    EV in Indonesia

Wind, geothermal, and water/wave are all possibilities. I think it was South Australia that generated 100% of its electricity using solar in 2020. I believe it was only for a short time, but solar is getting more and more efficient so we might well see a lot more of the same. That possibility...

    EV in Indonesia

I don't know, but they can't hurt. Oil is not a good option and solar works well in sunny countries. Poor weather reduces power output, but it doesn't stop them working.

    Sorry Kids in America!

As I stated earlier, I don't really like politics so I will cease posting on the subject.

    Sorry Kids in America!

I have heard two versions, but I have no real idea so I can't take sides I'm no economist but that interests me so I looked at what non-political economists had to say on the subject. Pretty much every one of them agreed with your statement to one level or another. None said tariffs were going...

    EV in Indonesia

Indonesia has a lot of sunshine, so solar would seem to be a very good way to charge EVs. That looks after both local pollution in cities, and remote pollution around power stations. As I understand it, Prabowo is pushing for large scale solar farms and as many EVs on the road as possible. Apart...

    Sorry Kids in America!

They did Musk controls a shocking amount of mass thought with twitter, and he seems to be trying to control as much of the world's internet as possible. Given his personality, I see him as potentially dangerous. As for the CCP, I hear a lot of stories but see little evidence. I hear...

    Sorry Kids in America!

I believe it's around 15,000 but I'm open to correction. I understand most are teachers, tech experts, and higher up business people. I can't really argue too much as my personal knowledge is limited and may be inaccurate.

    Sorry Kids in America!

I think the cultural revolution was Mao trying to force communist ideas when they were fading. I would suggest that is outdated as an argument because both Mao and his ideas are long gone. The great leap was Mao again. In his haste to change China, he forgot the think out a decent plan and...

    Starlink Internet

I understand he's going to be a minister for something or other with Trump. As I mentioned, I dislike getting too far into politics, but it strikes me that people around Trump tend to be the sort of people you don't want to have any control over you. I'll skip starlink .

    EV in Indonesia

I think I saw something about Indonesia phasing out coal and oil fired power stations and building solar to replace them. Add EVs over ICE, and you have a far reduced reliance on the international oil trade, and cleaner air as a bonus. The downside to this post is it is based on an article I...

    Sorry Kids in America!

I can't say much about Russia as I have very limited about that country, but I know plenty of people are moving to China legally. Their business sectors are actively drawing expertise from other countries, and those experts want to go because of high salaries and good working conditions. What...

Is that China or Elon Musk? If you condemn one, you have to condemn others with the same goals.

The price is one thing, but I don't trust Musk. That's why I won't be buying it.

True. The car took a while to become normal, but I understand Ford did the job with the Model T. I'm assured they manufactured the first reliable car the masses could afford, and the rest is history. Small e-bikes like mine are cost efficient and effective transport so they are getting more and...

    Sorry Kids in America!

I'll bite. What has China done that is so evil that other countries have done less of? That isn't a 'what if' or 'justified because someone did the same', more a how can one country that has done lots of evil things condemn another for doing evil things? With China, the US paints it as evil...
