    I've had a few problems in the Indomarets and Alfamart/midis in Bali. One to watch out for is when you give a100,000 note but they type in 90,000 so the display looks legit, while they short change you by 10,000.

    I think the best way is to just use it in conversation. It will be ropey at the beginning, but it will soon improve. In my experience anyway.
