Lead off batter, Fowler, homers to start the final game. Cubs up 1 to 0 with the Indians failing to score in the bottom of the first.
After 2, Cubs still up 1 - 0.
Indians score: 1 - 1 after 3.
Cubs score 2 in the top of the 4th; 3 - 1 with the Indians coming to bat.
Indians failed to score; after four, 3 - 1 Cubs.
Top of the 5th Cubs score 2 including a lead off homer by Biaz. Now 5 - 1 in the middle of the 5th.
Indians score 2 on a wild pitch; 5 - 3 at the end of 5.
Ross, the 39 year old catcher playing his last game before retiring, homers. Cubs lead 6 - 3 with the Indians coming to bat in the 6th.
Indians fail to score; 6 - 3 after 6
Bit of drama, but at the end of 7, still 6 - 3.
Indians score 3 in the bottom of the 8th on a Davis 2 run homer plus an earlier RBI, all off ace reliever, Chapman. All Knotted up 6 - 6 going into the 9th.
No score; going to the 10th with Chapman still on the mound.
They are pulling out the tarp; going to be a rain delay before extra innings.
Cubs leave the bases loaded, but get 2 in the top of the 10th. Defense has to do its job one more time. Season comes down to three outs.

Indians get a run in the bottom of the 10th, but that's all. Cubs win the 2016 World Series. The 108 year drought is over.

Waarmy, watching a live feed blog. Chapman not very composed it would seem now through eight. New game.

Is there going to be a rain delay. i hear it's pouring?

not always.. Ok so it's base ball. I like sport but that game I don't understand at all, it's a typical American game I suppose.
Yep, just a typical American game. Now, go tell that to a Cuban or Japanese. Then duck.

Rain delay; head umpire, in an interview, says the game will resume this evening after the light rain passes.

Surprised to see Chapman come back out but did his job. Will he be back in the 10th. ESPN and Fox web broadcasters think so.

Considering it has been 108 years for the cubs and 68 years for the Indians, I don't think anyone will ever be able to say that this game 7 wasn't the most fitting in their lifetime. I think you will be hard pressed to find any attendees of the game that say they didn't get their moneys worth.

Back in action; Cubs score in the top of the 10th. May not be done; bases loaded & only one out.

Looking good so far but Cleveland's 8 will stay on their minds as what can happen. Up 2 now. Go Cubs.

Scored again; now 8 - 6; Indians bringing in a new pitcher.

I guess it comes down to a 25 year old rookie now for Chicago.
