I found below listed somewhere, just curious, what is a fair price to buy it?

A fully compliant Indonesian PT PMA is available for transfer, offering an attractive opportunity for foreign investors or advisors with clients looking to establish a presence in Indonesia without setting up a new entity from scratch. Price is set to USD 1. (IDR ~ 16.000)

Establishing a new PT PMA generally requires a minimum investment plan of more than IDR 10,000,000,000. This company already has a strong capital structure, with paid up capital exceeding IDR 10,000,000,000, together with an established corporate and compliance history.

The entity has had no operational activity during the past five years, while all required tax filings have been submitted on time. It has no employees, no active commercial contracts, and no outstanding liabilities other than routine virtual office and accounting costs.

The company therefore provides a ready established platform for future foreign investment in Indonesia, with an existing legal entity, NIB registration, capital structure and verified compliance record already in place.

The opportunity may be particularly relevant for corporate service providers, law firms, accounting firms, investment advisors or other professionals with clients planning to enter the Indonesian market and seeking an established PT PMA rather than incorporating a new company from scratch.

The current owners no longer require the entity and are offering it for transfer as a practical alternative to proceeding with a potentially lengthy formal liquidation process.

The transaction will include a complete ownership and management transition, including replacement of all existing foreign shareholders, directors and commissioners. The current owners will exit fully at closing.

Notary and legal costs associated with the transfer will be covered, and a professional service fee will be paid for assuming the shares.

Supporting documentation can be provided for due diligence, including the Deed of Establishment, NIB registration, corporate records and tax compliance documentation.

Well how much are they asking?

Surely that would be the first thing to do. Then we can have a better idea how to comment

Ask them how much do they want and what's included and come back

Well, I didn’t contact them because I’m not in the market to buy. I’m aware that shell companies have been available for sale in Indonesia. As I said, I was just curious to know what’s the going rate. Someone must have bought one before and knows the standard price. I don’t believe the owner is selling for $1 (as advertised), unless the “shell company” has huge liabilities.

Yes I understand but just saying it's always useful to know. I mean if they asking $100,000 forget it but if they want $5,000 and my lawyer check it out then it's a useful thing to own and have for example could you do your own Kitas from it. And having a company bank account these days is very useful also. Leave 100jt in there and pay yourself from it every month your "salary" and then over the course of the month send 100 back again. etc etc

Fyi the $1 is referring to the exchange rate at 16,000 so they are referencing that $100,000 would be 1,600,000,000 rp at rate $1-16,000rp

Edit Actually it could also mean yes the price is only $1 which also doesn't make sense. Perhaps there has to be a token nominal sum when selling a PMA?
Maybe they also want the set-up costs repaid?
Who knows. Who cares? Lol.
