Child Leaving the country with a new British passport

I already mentioned (in post no.16) that some cities's Immigration could be like that . I included the requirements for an Indonesian passport for dual citizen children just to show that even if the parents & Immigration assumed that the child had dual citizenship , the Indonesian passport could still be issued without the dual citizenship proof. An you show this

And when someone proof it that they will only give an Indonesian passport when you have registered his limited dual citizenship, again you said that the post is non credible (Post#16)

The requirement is explicitly stated in the regulation, Permenkumham_No_18_2022 Article 5A, para (1) letter (g).

“Para (1) For children with dual citizenship who are domiciled or residing in Indonesia, applications for a regular passport must be submitted to the Minister or a designated Immigration Officer at an immigration office by completing the application form and attaching the following requirements:

(g) Proof of Affidavit for those who already hold a foreign passport or proof of registration of the child with dual citizenship;”

Not to mention, the requirement is also explicitly stated in the local immigration office information. It is painted everywhere(Post#18)

The centre of dispute here because you said the children is living in Indonesia 'Illegally' and you add it I am misleading people. Again it has been proven incorrect as the son is not living in Indonesia Illegally.
I have repeatedly made this point, 'If he were truly living in the country Illegally, he would have been deported. The immigration only refuse to renew his passport not that claiming he has been living in Indonesia Illegally, and therefore due for a deportation.

'Children may be issued a Republic of Indonesia Travel Document (DPRI) e.g Indonesian passport even if they hold a foreign passport. 'This also confirms what I said previously that holding a foreign passport while living in Indonesia does not mean that he is living in Indonesia illegally.

I admit that you presented a very good argument by pointing to PerMen No_18_2022 , Article 5A and I confess I did not notice it . Indeed it states that the proof of dual citizenship is required to get an Indonesian passport (but I said "this has no relation to OP's case" correctly because you started to talk about "4. Indonesian citizenship certificate for foreigners who have obtained Indonesian citizenship or submitted a statement to choose citizenship in accordance with statutory provisions ...) .

So lets return to this subject :

b) You showed that Article 5A of PerMen No_18_2022 does require a proof of dual citizenship .

I checked the older PerMen no.8 Year 2014 (which was revised by PerMen no.18 Year 2022) and saw that it has no Article 5A (meaning it was created in 2022) . In other words , the proof of dual citizenship for getting the Indonesian passport (for a child with dual citizenship) was not required before 2022 .

You are mixing things . I didn't say "non credible" to this point specifically .
