I had an issue that I faced after I had changed my passport number due to change of passport.

Went into https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/ using the sponsor account.

My data isnt reflected.

Been tugging with the support from the support, and they managed to do something at the backend and I no longer faces the issue that I must be in the terriority of Indonsia.

However when entering the system, the passport number is grayed out and I am unable to amend to the new number.

The system is now asking me to pay IDR 500,000.

Will I be able to change the passport number after I had paid this?

Went into https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/ using the sponsor account.
My data isnt reflected.
If this was the first time you or the sponsor accessed the account , it is normal . Just after logging in , click "Services" then "Find Existing Stay Permit" , then type your passport number + ITAS number , ..
However when entering the system, the passport number is grayed out
At my sponsor's account the passport number is not (nowhere) grayed out .
and I am unable to amend to the new number.
At the right side of your Permit' data , click "Actions", then "Change Data" , then "Change of Passport Data" , then "Detail & Apply" , then "Apply" , then ...
The system is now asking me to pay IDR 500,000.
So after uploading photo of the new passport + a new photo of yourself + some other data , and successfully sending the request , this new process will appear together with the original Permit , by clicking at its "Register Number" a new page will come with the details of the fee to be paid .
Will I be able to change the passport number after I had paid this?
Yes , if everything was done correctly . If not , Immigration will ask for something else through this Immigration sponsor's account . You will have to frequently look at the "Status" of the process and if it changes to pending or waiting for changes , click again at the "Register Number" to know what change(s) Immigration is asking . Immigration may send this information to the sponsor's email too .

Note : It is now normal that we first pay (when applicable) as soon as an Immigration process is requested . There is now a small possibility of we paying but not getting what we paid for .

When you do the amendments of the passport details, should I login using the the sponsor account or the personal account of the kitas holder ?

It seems that when I logged into the sponsor account I can only see change data - guarantor and also bridging stay permit

There is no amendment of passport.

I had attached the photo for reference

Sponsor's account , if your (K)ITAS has sponsor .

Better not use your own account unless you want to get a non-sponsored Visa/ITAS (a member recently had a big headache by requesting a process (that only the sponsor had the authority to do) for his sponsored Stay Permit) .
It seems that when I logged into the sponsor account I can only see change data - guarantor and also bridging stay permit
By the way what type of Visa/ITAS did you get , because my ITAP (not ITAS but I think it doesn't matter much) sponsored by Indonesian spouse does have the following options by clicking "Action" : Extend , Conversion , Change Data , Bridging Stay Permit , Reporting , Exit Permit Only , ..
If you have only these 2 options (Change Data - Guarantor , Bridging Stay Permit) , something is wrong . It is coherent with the reduced options when someone access his/her ITAS from his/her own Immigration account when the ITAS has sponsor or the website reversed the sponsorship (a case mentioned by a member here when he used his own account instead of his sponsor) .
There is no amendment of passport.
In my sponsor's account the 'Change Data' option includes around 50 sub-options .
Also when I logged into the sponsor account I cannot see the find existing stay permit

If you got the "Visa E28A - General Investment" , your KITAS maybe doesn't have a sponsor (or your PT PMA is the sponsor ?) .

Otherwise , if you got Visa C12 or D12 (Pre-Investment) , you don't have a KITAS but a Visit Permit instead .

I guess you misunderstood :

Mine is a E28A Visa

There are only 2 options if I use the sponsor's account.

1. Bridging Stay Permit
2. Chane Data Guarantor

Yes I had read that post too. He used his own account instead of his wife's account to be the main account. In my case, not because I want to use my personal account, reason is because I cannot change the passport's number if I use the sponsor's account.

My data is not auto populated in the list. I always need to search for it.

I suggest you or someone else to bring a laptop/tablet to the 'Kantor Imigrasi' responsible for your KITAS , and show the problem to the Immigration officers there . For sure they can help solving this problem .

I'm staying in Batam and they aren't helpful at all

Roytoh, I sympathize with your predicament. Some little while ago I had renewed my Australian passport so needed to register this with Immigration and also to get a new IMK (used to be called MERP). I have a WNI sponsor and had an account created for her. Marcus kindly gave me step by step details as to how to proceed with the new on-line system but I still got stuck. A friend of my wife here in Bali referred us to an agent who she said was very good. But when I looked closely at the charges I found that they were looking to make about $550 as their fee. I searched around and found good references for an agent whose fees were about $150. The previous agent was going to apply for just another 2 year IMK whereas with a permanent KITAP I could apply for a permanent IMK. The agent I used was excellent but it seems this is another area to step lightly it can be a mine field.

Sorry I can't offer you some more useful advice. I do hope you get sorted without too much stress.

I would try the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore or any other nearby Kantor Imigrasi too .

Or look for a visa agent . You can pay one for just solving this problem of why your ITAS options (under "Action") do not show : 'Change Data' (not 'Change Data - Guarantor') , 'Bridging Stay Permit' , 'Reporting' , 'Exit Permit Only' (and maybe 'Extend' and 'Conversion' too) ; or pay one to change your passport data .

You may search the internet for something like : jasa kitas di batam (or even ask harryopal1's agent or any in other cities too , as our Immigration processes are all online) . Tell the agent that you already registered the sponsor's account (so you provide the data for login too) .

All the changes have to be done using the sponsor's account right?

Amusingly, when I logged in using the personal account of the kitas, i am able to have the change data option.

Should I use the personal account of the kitas to do the change instead of the sponsor's account ?

From what I understand , when there is a sponsor , most of the processes are to be requested by the sponsor . It seems the Stay Permit's holder can request very few processes , like you showed (Bridging Stay Permit and Change Data - Guarantor) .

Besides 'Change Data' , do you have also : 'Extend' , 'Conversion' , 'Bridging Stay Permit' , 'Reporting' , and 'Exit Permit Only' ?

Better ask your city's 'Kantor Imigrasi' . But if Immigration cannot help again , I would risk the Rp500k and use this account to do the passport change .

Unfortunately Immigration's websites continue to state you need a sponsor for this E28A Visa/ITAS , but I think there is a small possibility that recently Immigration had changed it to a non-sponsored Visa/ITAS (to be similar to the E28B Visa/ITAS - see below) , and so it would be coherent with what is happening with you now .

-----------------------------

- from https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/web/visa-selection , E28A Visa , if you click "Apply" , it says "this visa can be applied via Guarantor ..."

- from https://www.imigrasi.go.id/wna/perm...onesia/e28a-visa-investor?golden_visa=0&all=1
: E28A VISA INVESTOR , 1 or 2 years
Sponsor : You need a sponsor to apply for this visa.

: E28B INVESTMENT VISA (COMPANY ESTABLISHMENT) , 5 or 10 years
Sponsor : You don’t need a sponsor to apply for this visa.

Only now I re-read the posts below . They may be related to your problem .

When I clicked on action it then only just shows Bridging Stay Permit

When using the "Find Existing Stay Permit" function, the displayed options under "Actions" appear limited.
After you found your KITAP, click again on "MY APPLICATION" > STAY PERMIT (sub section). Your KITAP should still appear, but now with additional options under "Action" (Extend, Conversion, Change Data, Bridging Stay Permit, Exit Permit Only, ..)

After following the tips provided by Marcus and Mas dam I uploaded my new passport details but then got stuck when trying to upload a new id photo. At that point I gave up and luckily found an agent with reasonable fees, who communicated well and I soon had confirmation of my new passport entered into the system with a permanent IMK. Arriving back in Denpasar last night there was about a 15 minute delay with some glitch in the system re the new details but then all clear.

The irony is that wide adoption of digital bureacracy made in most of cases the procedure more complicated.

Before leaving Melbourne I had my first experience with the new allindonesia.imigrasi website as now required. Approaching the customs exit with my baggage I was not sure how this would go down. I. had a printed copy with the QR, showed it to the officer who scanned it and, I presume, checked that details had been entered in the system. A quick glance and then waved through with no baggage check. I don't know if the system showed the customs officer details of my lodged document but if there were then it was cursory glance. I was not carrying any illegal items. I did have a permissable 1 litre of wine and wondered what if I had 2 litres? A lot of international customs checking is also apparently cursory with officer's only searching when they have had a tip off, have thought the passenger was unduly nervous or coming from some notorious destination.

For every carrier caught with illegal drugs I suspect there may be 20 who go through unchecked.

I guess most Immigration processes finish ok .

What I think is not good , is to depend on only one digital system (no backup) , like we hear about many companies having to stop operations (during a relatively long time) due to their digital system's malfunction (but I don't know if it is the Immigration's case) .

Title : The most common reasons for computer failure in a corporate environment
By Kamil Wozniak , April 2025

A computer failure in a company can lead to a complete halt in business operations, significantly affecting employee productivity and generating serious financial losses. The recent case of British Airways, where an IT failure caused losses of £80 million, perfectly shows the scale of the problem ...

I have been through dozens of air ports and countries carrying powdered herbal and prescription medicines. Even though these are perfectly legal, they never even looked. They could have easily checked but never did. 1 in 20 seems high. The only place I have seen dogs in the US.
