Work KITAS --> Spousal KITAS/KITAP...

These things have probably been here already dozens of times, but let's go through this again:

• My KITAS is sponsored by my employing Indonesian company, all with IMTA etc. etc.
• I have been married with Indonesian lady for 6,5 years (and still am)

Is it possible to change sponsor from company to spouse to get Spousal KITAS, and immediately apply for KITAP? My work contract will be renewed in October, so there are no problems with that.

Is it true IMTA can officially come only with a company-sponsored KITAS? Don't wanna go to grey areas, so if easiest to continue with company as a sponsor then that'll be it - but KITAP would certainly bring so many benefits and peace of mind...

Ask your work. In my experiences, no.

But maybe it is possible in some sectors.

Actually, I understand that if you have a wife sponsored KITAP you are not supposed to use an IMTA at all...
