If I understand correctly, you want that German governement income paid directly to your Wise (or Similar) account ?Hello again,
I haven't forget about the great attention I got here about the case. Thank you.
Just to come back to my needs after Wise has cancelled my Belgian SEPA-account because of new regulations. For me it's not a question how I transfer money. I NEED an accepted SEPA-account in Europe, that is also registered from the countrys national bank where its established. (e.g. DE=Germany, BE=Belgium, LT=Lithunania). I need this because I get my income from a semi-governmental body which only accept SEPA-accounts. And I live in Indonesia as a German sinceever but now without residential status and tax file number there.
In the last weeks I tried some providers (PayDo, SwissMoney, bunq, N26, B2B and others). They all first don't mention Indonesia as a restricted country. But during application f.e. they don't accept my Indonesian phone number as a second verification way or they told me something else (after accepted registration). So at the stage now I find out that Lithunian FinTecs and Neo-Banks maybe the most open minded ... I will try f.e. Revolut, Rewire, Bankera, Genome. Let you know any success.
No, he cannot see his posts #13, #23 and #41. I think his only chance to get an IBAN account is with HSBC or Revolut (if as jstar says they don't check the resident address). If I understand correctly, you want that German governement income paid directly to your Wise (or Similar) account ?
Any chance you could open an account (non resident) in a German bank, have the money paid to that account and then transfer to Indo via Wise ?
That's what I do for my French and Belgian pension. Paid in my French bank, and then I do a Wise transfer.
Note that the Wise account I transfer the money to is in Belgium.
I don't keep money in Wise, I just use them for transfert.
This is exactly what happened to me. A large (French) bank -after 35 years!- canceled me as customer. I think it also has to do with the fact we’re considered small fish. Banks are not so loyal.I am afraid one day I am forced too, to cancel my account. This because of the anti-money-laundering restrictions European banks have to follow.
Hello, that's exactly the point. They don't pay to something else than a SEPA-account (on my name) within the participating countries. The country where it is located doesn't really matter (maybe Cyprus and Malta are exceptions, my Wise-IBAN before cancellation was in Belgium). I already tried Revolut; doesn't work as well. I keep on the plotIf I understand correctly, you want that German governement income paid directly to your Wise (or Similar) account ?

During I tried to download the app on my phone, after I wanted to register my mail. A layer appeared that said in my language, that R is not available in my region, because there a sanctions ... No further access ...HSBC in JKT is based in the World Trade Center.
What went wrong with Revolut?
Have you tried to use a VPN so that you can then be located in whichever country seems useful rather than be located in Indonesia?During I tried to download the app on my phone, after I wanted to register my mail. So, if one has a premier HSBC-multiple currency account, one can hold euros and rupiahs, right? Exchanging euros of one account to rupiahs on the other account, will that cost fees? Or is that without fees?HSBC your best bet. This one above. Apply online
Then when it's open (expat offshore account) THEN go to Hsbc WTC office and say you want to open a LOCAL Hsbc account
Later on you can link them yourself online

My US bank does free wire transfers when chaning currency and gives a fair rate, plus Zelle transfers inside the US are free. Is that not cheaper than 0.7%? Easy to chase down the money as well since no-one elses hands were involved. How is it more convenient to add a 3rd party when all I have to do is click on two buttons, enter the amount and then put in a PIN code? I'm curious if there is something that I am missing?I finally jumped through the hoops for Wise and sent some money to my daughter in the US. The official rate via Wise was spot on with the rate by a Google search. Fees added about 0.7%; way way way cheaper than doing a wire transfer (not to mention infinitely more convenient once everything was set up).
