Being somewhat prudish I am not troubled by the idea of nudist camps or nudist beaches but I am a little puzzled by the need to congregate naked. In Melbourne in the 60s there was a sudden enthusiasm for topless bathing which did not bother me but I recall feeling rather awkward running in to an older female friend at the beach who was topless. It felt rather strange chatting away and guarding against my gaze dropping down to her bosom.
Spending time in Sarawak in 1971 it was somewhat titillating to find that as one went up river Dyak women were topless and then spending several weeks with Punans in the deep jungle one got used to women without tops. I recall that on the way heading back down river and stopping at a riverside store and a woman wearing what was basically a see through blouse and noting how this somehow excited my imagination after time with completely topless females.
Again, it doesn't bother me but am somewhat amazed at the g string swimming costumes that now appear frequently at Jimbaran beach. Given the indignant outrage often shown here about "decadent" western behaviour I am surprised that the g strings have not met with policing.
I do wonder if Fastpitch might be at risk with his bothersome heart were he to bump into one of these scantily clad ladies?
