Questions about blacklist

Hello,
I'm Domenico from Italy, last year I took a flight to Bali from KL. It would've my 6th or 7th entry in Indonesia, or maybe more, I don't remember. Never had any problem.
The Immigration officer found a little rip on an unimportant page of my passport (Italian passport obviously), so they started questioning me about it (what can we do, this is not valid anymore, etc. etc.). There was also some unavoidable tension, but they didn't change idea, and in the end they denied my entry and paid to me a flight back to Penang (my initial departure place). Then, I was advised to apply for a new passport at Italian embassy in KL, which I did.

My question now is this: how can I know if I've been blacklisted from Indonesia?
The officers never talked about "deportation" (even if they kept me under surveillance in the terminal until they checked me in for flight back the following morning), and never talked about "blacklist"... the stamp they impressed on my passport was not the rectangular blacklist stamp with the word "deportation" that can be found online... it was a round stamp with the words "Denied entry". No rectangular stamp.

What do you think? I'd like to go back to Bali next August, so do you think I still need to verify if I'm blacklisted? And how can I do it? Or can I be sure I'm not blacklisted, because no rectangular stamp was made in my old passport?

Thank you for any answer🙏🏼

I doubt you are blacklisted, but maybe one way to find out (apart from testing the water again, maybe by taking a shorter trip - to Medan maybe) is probably to apply for a full Indonesian visa and see if they grant you one?

Indonesians seem to be really fussy about minor wear and tear. Try exchanging a crumpled dollar note or one with a slight tear... while Indonesian bank notes are often in worse states!

In a way it's understandable, foreigners don't have the right to enter and foreign bank notes likewise are not legal tender, but still, inconveniencing at the least

You asked this somewhere else

You were denied entry. Not deported. And not blacklisted.
Free to enter again with your new passport no problems

There was a little news story about this happening to an Australian guy last month. Get a new passport and you'll be fine.

Ouch

“I’m not disputing the tear – but it wasn’t even noticeable until you bend it back (and immigration officers in Sydney were fine when they scanned it),” Matt wrote in a follow-up tweet.

It's an important document. Look after it. Keep it safe. Put it in a plastic cover and maybe even a zip lock bag too
And know when it's 3/4 full or in its final year
