Putting my cat to sleep tomorrow

Sad day pusp, when I was a kid my puppy dog, got distemper and had to be put down, I think I sobbed all day, I got married and my kids wanted a dog I wouldn't get one as I remembered my upset, anyway now I'm much much older I got my daughter a golden retriever, great fun, should have got all my kids a dog. My granddaughter made me laugh, daughter in law won't let her have a pet, so she said to me, Can you keep a secret, I said yes, well she said,when I'm grown up I'm going to have lots of babies and lots of pets, and there's nothing mum can do about it, not bad for a seven year old

It is over now. The comforting part is that his end was very peaceful. I spent the last hour just cuddling with him. The people from Animal Clinic Jakarta were terrific - when he was gone they wrapped him very tenderly in the old towel I had set him on, with his head showing as if he were just asleep and still breathing, and gently carried him away to be cremated. As awful as it was, they really made it as easy as possible.

RIP Reggie, 2010? - 2016. You were an amazing companion.

Been there, done that. Would say more, but see little to gain in looking back. Sorry for your loss.

My heart goes out to you. Unfortunly we have gone though it too many times. We fostered kittens from the spca in the states and everytime we lost one my heart felt like it broke. All you can do is know you made your love one so happy though its time.

Thanks Alia. I miss him but I'm adjusting. Our one remaining cat is getting lots of affection now.
