Ouch!... I see in Aceh a fellow has just been sentenced to a hundred lashes in public for adultery.
There is if you are the one getting 100 lashes. That is an awful lot of lashes even if it is not uncommon. What's the background of the story? Lashing in Aceh for that kind of "crime" isn't really anything new or out of the ordinary. Is there anything special about this case?
Several teaching moments can be taken from that... not least: guys, keep your dick in your pants.Ouch!... I see in Aceh a fellow has just been sentenced to a hundred lashes in public for adultery.
Yeah it hurts for sure. I just thought there was something out of the ordinar, maybe it just sounded a bit harsh. There is if you are the one getting 100 lashes. That is an awful lot of lashes even if it is not uncommon.
They like it obviously, kind of BDSM.Yeah it hurts for sure. I just thought there was something out of the ordinar, maybe it just sounded a bit harsh.
Well.. sometimes I still have mixed feelings about this. I feel sorry for the minority who doesn't want Sharia laws. Then again for the other side I think let them have their way and let's see how nice it really is.
Well it certainly depends on how hard you hit.Is a hundred lashes even survivable?
Well that's why it would be helpful to know the specific case. Again, in the past I read about men AND women being punished for "sex-crimes".Usually, it takes two to tango. No punishment for the other party (m/f)?
Yes, I guess it's the same with some countries that have the death sentence. In school, in pro and contra discussions, the contra side alwyas said that the death sentence doesn't have a significant difference effect on crime rates.Troubled by petty and serious criminals the British ruling class established a number of prisons during early settlement of Australia with punishments every bit as savage under Shariah law. As satisfying as it may be for victims wanting revenge or sadists to witness the spectacle of cruel punishment the long period of vicious brutalityin Australia did nothing to rehabilitate offenders and little to act as an effective deterrent against crime.
Yea and some people won't eat Pork, because Pigs, eat Human excrement that people left on top of the ground. Tell me, which species is smarter?Same for any other colonial power as the Dutch, French, etc., Harry. But they have outgrown those practices…
Enlightenment of religion (to be rude; not being stuck in 500 years ago and not taking everything literally) is an important factor. Some people still ‘wash’ their hands with sand if they touched bodily fluids of a dog.
And then there's Singapore.Troubled by petty and serious criminals the British ruling class established a number of prisons during early settlement of Australia with punishments every bit as savage under Shariah law. As satisfying as it may be for victims wanting revenge or sadists to witness the spectacle of cruel punishment the long period of vicious brutalityin Australia did nothing to rehabilitate offenders and little to act as an effective deterrent against crime.
Some say that. Some say Disneyland with the death penalty.A fine city.
