Just in process of getting my work visa renewed (yesterday received new IMTA - yippee!), and now there was indeed the requirement of registering for BPJS health insurance (have health insurance via company, but needs the BPJS also nowadays). No big deal, visit to BPJS office with filled forms and few copies of personal IDs, in return got text message that had virtual account number where to pay 1st month's fee (80.000 IDR for Class 1) after couple of weeks (they had a time limit).
When the 1st possible pay day came, off I went to ATM as instructed. Had menus for BPJS payments also. Well, not-so-surprisingly "Cannot process" screen flashes. Well, tried later... And later... And later. Then went to local bank.
"Oh sir, you have to pay via ATM"
"Tried four times, cannot"
"Oh sir, cannot pay at bank. Go to BPJS / our main office / wherever as long as not here"
"Terima kasih" in a semi-nasty and surprised sound...
And how did I manage to pay? Well...Tokopeeeedia!
After that a call to BPJS and next day could log in to Mobile JKN application where the virtual BPJS card is (and can be sent as PDF).
Next phase is that company starts to pay the fees, but that is another story.
