Irishman Hangs Himself in Kuta

It may be the case an argument with a girl has been the catalyst for suicide which is just so very sad.

An Irishman was found dead at a hotel in Bali in the popular tourist town of Kuta on Monday evening.

The 35-year-old had been hanged using a mosquito net, from the bar of the room’s closet, local media in Bali is reporting. Police say the death appears to have been a suicide, but they are still investigating the case.

The Irishman had been traveling with a female friend staying in a different room at the same hotel, who he allegedly had a disagreement with, police say.

I wonder why the news editor thought it important to identify the dead guy as Irish.

Probably because he was Irish, not many Irishmen commit suicide in Kuta, it's very sad really allegedly over a girl, I've had tough times but to contemplate suicide has never been an option, especially the heartbreak and distress it leaves the living.

The Irish detail is okay in my opinion (might get it picked up by Irish media where I haven't seen this reported yet), but why include the details about the mosquito net and potential argument with his friend? Those details just lead to unnecessary speculation
