This article discusses the challenges facing Indonesia after Iran detained two Indonesian oil tankers (the VLCC Pertamina Pride and the PIS Gamsunoro).

While neighboring states such as Malaysia and Thailand secured priority clearance through the Strait of Hormuz, Indonesia’s maritime assets were left stranded in Iran-blocked waters, undermining Jakarta’s energy security along the way.

The signal has been unambiguous: Tehran does not view Jakarta as a trustworthy partner at a time of war.

Couple of containers of durian and kopico sweets to the embassy and all will be fine. Since we didn't join the Bored of Peace? Club we still have $1 billion to spend

It's only $1 million per ship. Bargain. Clever. Everyone will happily pay $1m for safe passage. It's peanuts. But easily $100m a day revenue

I don't think Indonesia has ever been a big fan of Iran, since Indonesia is Sunni, and they regard Iran's version of the religion as shiite
