Have any teachers managed to get KITAP?

Hi everyone,

I've joined the forum because I have been an SMA teacher for 4 years on a KITAS (sekolah nasional bukan satuan pendidikan kerja sama / internasional). Eventually, I would like to become WNI.

However, the advice from agents is that it's unlikely I will be able to apply for a KITAP because I'm only in a teacher position. Usually a KITAP would be for those in higher positions in their organisations.

Has anyone been in this position, or does anyone have any advice?

I’m not a teacher and someone in that position will tell me if I’m wrong, but I heard from WNA and agents the same thing:

Only people who are in executive functions, retirees, ex WNI and people married to Indonesian citizens, can get an ITAP.

Obviously after some (3 for most cases) years on an ITAS.

I know well about Immigration but just a little about work .
It is possible to get a KITAP theoretically (see the rule below) , but first I suggest you to ask your employer (your sponsor/guarantor) if you can get a 5 years work contract so you can continue to be sponsored for a (5 years) Work KITAP , if the Government's Work Department allows .

An agent can only request on your behalf when you don't need a sponsor , for example for an investor Visa/KITAS/KITAP .
