My stepfather was a waterside worker at Port Melbourne. I have a sense of pride that the wharfies refused to load Dutch ships after the end of WW2 when the Dutch were seeking to reimpose colonial rule. MERDEKA.

If you think about it, some of us here are almost as, as old, or older than this nation.

Just like an individual's life, a young nation can go through a lot of ups and downs. It really boils down to the leadership and the trust the people have in it. While Indonesia has had some good, some not so good, even a bad leader can acheive some good and a good leader acheive some bad for their nation.
