If that is the official fingerprint card I got mine done albeit a lot of years ago at kapolda

What's "kapolda" a portmanteau for, anyway? I never gave it much thought but I'm going to guess...kapten polisi daerah? (or kapten polish dearth, as the auto-correct is firmly convinced I should write )

I'd put money on it being Kapala Polisi Daerah. Every other ka(something) has always been kapala.

Kepala, yep! I knew I had that first word wrong but I couldn't think what the correct term was. That's what happens when you don't use your 2nd language ... I have now been out of Indonesia for 3 whole years.

Today fingerprints for SKCK purposes are done at the Polres or Polsek offices. Polres is at the regency (kabupaten) level, while Polsek is at the district (kecamatan) level. If you need the SKCK letter with English translation, it is only available from the Polri national HQ in Jakarta.

Or as i like to play with words any kapala/kepala is always a kalapa for me.
Especially as I am now listed under the hubby on our KK.
He is officially the kalapa/kelapa rumah

Fingerprinting Services

I need to get my fingerprints taken (not digitally, in ink) for an FBI background check. This is for a working visa for another country. Does anyone know where I might be able to have this done? Are there places which provide fingerprinting services or should I go to a police station? Any help...

I have SKCK already but need to complete an FBI fingerprint form - the FD258.

Then you can go to the same Polsek / Polres to get the fingerprints done, bringing the FD-258 with you. Just give them a small donation for the help.

If you’re asking about the physical card, you can download the form from the FBI and print it on thick paper yourself.
