I'm not so sure, if I'm posting this in the right sub-forum. So, please admin, feel free to move this into a different sub-forum, if this is not the correct one. Thank you.
So here it goes: Does any of you live in Malang? Or nearby and is familiar with the city? An expat family is moving to Malang and the company is looking for someone, who can assist them (finding a place to live, school enrolment process, getting familiar with daily life etc.). imho ,I have visited Malang, family and work reasons almost every year for the last 25 years, Malang initially was a quiet city ,nice people .

Now its overpopulated so macet , the mosque density has increased so very little chance of sleep. you generally feel like an infidel these days .

I have had some contact with local admin ,its like going back 25 years ,bali is light years ahead.

We at once thought east java may be interesting to live ,after a few years research we gave up on that idea .
