For all these DIY and chemical solutions, rain is the obvious killer.

We collect and use the old ground Coffee. Helps quite well, they don't like the smell.

My own experience is that a handy rhinocerous helps keep the lions away.

The pellets are drained in the oils of the poop.

I guess it doesn't really work since it is based on the theory of territorial behavior. And with cats, I wouldn't be surprised if it even attracts them.
