A pipe bomb exploded in a New Jersey shore town Saturday shortly before thousands of runners were to participate in a charity 5K race to benefit Marines and sailors, authorities said.

An apparent explosion in a crowded Chelsea neighborhood of New York City on Saturday night left 25 people with minor injuries, authorities said.

Wow another bomb going off - I wonder who could've been behind that - probably those Christian and Jews I reckon.

Maybe the atheist looking for some press. They haven't gotten any in awhile so maybe feel neglected.

Because no one is interested to know about it.

Perhaps people would be interested on your take on the matters you are interested in. I am interested in St. Cloud, MN because I have been there many times. It is not far from home. I am interested in what takes place in the US because I am from the US. I am interested in anything that happens to any nation I consider a friendly nation towards my beliefs and my way of life. I am interested in those that do not take human value as important no matter the location. Sorry, not so interested in cats.

Sad fact BA, every Friday some poor sods get blown up in the mosque while they are praying, so regular it isn't even news anymore, still I suppose the victims go straight to heaven, not much consolation for the families who now try and make a living without the bread winner, the religion of peace strikes again

Probably one of those crazed Vietnam Veterans!

I'm getting a bit fed up by all these statements immediately after these attacks that it is "not terrorism". The same in Europe after these 'lone wolves' attacks. Often they give it some kind of 'the person had personal issues' twist. (Unhappy marriage, criminal past, lonely childhood, ...) And by which organization or recent events are those people influenced?

Even if there is no clear political aim or no organization behind it, what would you call bombing a place trying to make as many casualties as possible, with some kind of pressure cooker with nails etc.?

I think they have to stay cautious and not name associations until they have some evidence. They may blame it on the wrong bad guys. Still, terrorism is terrorism and it can easily be called that. These nastys love the media attention so it shouldn't be long until someone takes responsibility.

Well if it's an attempt to scare and kill people it's terrorism, doesn't matter who is doing it, a solo bomber with some grievance, or some religious nuts, it's terrorism, what else can it be, sadly they get to much publicity, sometimes I think in these cases a news black out would be in order, but that's not the way news works

The name of Islam in the west is so sullied by terrorism now that there is always so apologist waiting to jump in front of a news camera to reassure us "this isn't Islam, Muslims are peaceful" and yet every single news report of shootings bombings knifings and other violence all points to the exact opposite. Hence my sarcastic Christians and Jews comment earlier in the thread.

Better watch your words. If your first action is to make every effort to prove it is not Islamic terrorism, you are headed for that basket of deplorables.

The IRA had a purpose with their bombing to cow the British government and public to bow to their damages, failed miserably , we at present have no idea who perpetrated this crime, most assume Islamists, really, for obvious reasons, the worlds most peaceful religion seems to take great delight in shooting, knifing or bombing totally innocent people, who a while back were totally ignorant about Islam and had no feelings one way or the other, just another religion, but sadly Islam is looked on with total suspicion, any bombs must be Islamists, how Islam can turn this perception around I have no idea, because the opinion of Islam is going down hill very rapidly, and people like Trump will make it worse.

Very unfortunate but the Russians are the last that should be complaining with some of their actions and who they like to attack more then ISIS.

Maybe the families of the soldiers who were killed fighting ISIS will be complaining as well
