Hi everyone, I am new on this forum. I would like to ask regarding blacklist status in Indonesia. My husband was deported from Bali, Indonesia on 27 Oktober 2017 with a red stamp on his passport. Can anybody give me an idea how long that blacklist will be and how is the procedure for blacklist remove? Is it better to use an agency to do it?

I have a feeling it will depend on what he was deported for as to whether it can be lifted.

Hi Eka,

Sorry to hear about your husband's deportation. The blacklisting is a minimum of 6 months, and will be renewed indefinitely until someone at DirJen Imigrasi puts a stop to it. The article above (https://www.expatindo.org/blacklisted-indonesia/) has instructions on how to apply for removal from blacklisting. There is no offical fee for this as far as I know, although I'm sure there are lots of unofficial fees....

The best chance is for you to personally appeal this case. As you are his wife, you have the most legal standing in this case.

Hi Dafluff, thank you for your reply and suggestion. I really hope that I possible go to Jakarta personally to appeal this case. But I am not in Indonesia right now. I sent email to Dirjen Imigrasi but no respond. Im planing to use agency, do you have any agency suggestion which can be trust?

Unfortunately I do not have agency recommendations. Is there perhaps a relative/friend in Jakarta that could do this for you?

Try an embassy or consulate where you are now? But I wouldn't bother wasting money on an agent, I think the personal touch is cheaper and more likely to succeed even if it is only filing paperwork

Hi Dafluff, thank you for your advice, I asked some agency for the cost its true many different amounts staring 36 mil IDR to 125 mil IDR. Do you have any idea is it possible to do the removal anytime after 6 months out from Indonesia? Example meanwhile during the extension? One of the agency informs me that must do the removal before the second 6 months start extent or otherwise I need to wait until the second 6 months end.
