    to be honest I was anticipating poor treatment but so far the officers have been good to me. I have no complaint other than poor documentation on the process.

    oh when i applied the first time i still had my old passport so i didnt have that issue. i would suggest to email to their customer service email. when i did ask, they gave me a whatsapp number of a very helpful officer.

    I have no ways to confirm but apparently my employer requires it and they probably know better than me. my understanding from the other commenters is it is required to get the SKTT which will be eventually needed but not sure

    I did. they didnt write the bit where I needed to provide proof of having surrendered the passport when I applied the first time. they did say they take my input and will make the change to the guidance.

    I literally contacted the consulate and they gave me a letter to sign. They were surprised that I did it because everyone else secretly carrying dual passport. Nevertheless they said i did the right thing and appreciated it.
