It's already happening, the US tariff on Indonesia is 32%, one of the highest one

Whatever the equilibrium was, it was already present, the only significant country changing their tariffs is the US, and therefore the US buyer has 19% less buying power of Indonesian products in Q3 2025 than they did in Q1. The US buyers are by far the most negatively impacted by this...

It's already happening, the US tariff on Indonesia is 32%, one of the highest one

You're completely ignoring the global market. If the equilibrium price has been $100/unit, now a US buyer can demand the Indonesian producer to sell it to them for $84 to cover the 19% tariff, but the Indonesian producer will just laugh and sell their whole supply to Europe for $99.

How? Practically very economist disagrees with you (and Trump)

It's already happening, the US tariff on Indonesia is 32%, one of the highest one

That would only apply if the US was the sole or dominant buyer of the Indonesian product, and myself, Google, and ChatGPT all can't think of any product that fits that description. Rubber, palm oil, coffee, clothing, etc. all operate in a very global market, and if the Indonesian producer is...

It's already happening, the US tariff on Indonesia is 32%, one of the highest one

Trump has blatantly lied about tariffs so many times that some people have forgotten how they work, and you seem to have fallen victim to this. The exporting country doesn't pay the tariff, the American importer does (passed on to the American consumer). American importers will be paying 19%...

Long overstay, wanting to exit. Best course of action?

That hasn't always been my experience with immigration officials! You should ask for the law, especially before transferring 60jt.

Long overstay, wanting to exit. Best course of action?

I have not heard this before, and certainly not seen it in law, I would be very curious to see it if anyone has seen the actual law/regulation that says this.

    Earthquakes and nuclear power plants

Borneo / Kalimantan is very safe from natural disasters. If Singapore can get its power from solar farms in Australia, I'm sure Indonesia can figure out some cables under the Java Sea. But I suspect Indonesia will not get nuclear power until the safe* reactors are commercially produced. * Ones...

    Income tax rates

It's 35%, congratulations if you reach that income level of 5M per year. From the Indonesian tax agency; https://www.pajak.go.id/id/mekanisme-penghitungan-pajak-penghasilan-orang-pribadi

    Trumponomics

This is so blatantly fake, Musk did not make that youtube video. Look at the video of him at the beginning, does that look like natural lip movement to you? And then the whole script is completely unnatural for his normal speaking style, you can even tell where the headings ("A Malaysian...

more than $10,000 USD deposited in to account from abroad

Yes, there's a form, but if you're depositing at a bank they fill it out and the most the require o the customer is one or two questions about the origin of the funds. It's not "a lot" of paperwork.

    Exit possible with pending EPO?

Here is the page about EPO and ERP, the ERP is for cancelling from outside Indonesia. Make sure to take photos of your exit stamp in your passport and keep a copy of the e-ticket of your exit flight...

    Exit possible with pending EPO?

There is an alternative to EPO which is done after you have left the country. Is immigration holding your passport while they're processing your EPO? I would contact them immediately, tell them your situation, and if they can't process the EPO in time for your new departure have them cancel it.

Long overstay, wanting to exit. Best course of action?

If your passport is lost or stolen, it is no longer something "owned" (dimilikinya) and this law doesn't apply.

Long overstay, wanting to exit. Best course of action?

This law is not addressing having an expired stay permit, it is addressing having ("any...owned") a permit and refusing to provide it to an Immigration officer. He can present his passport with the original, 5 year expired, stay permit, and he has complied with this law.

Long overstay, wanting to exit. Best course of action?

I would seriously consider getting a lawyer with connections in the local immigration office. Let them go-between and you will have a much better chance at not spending any overnight in detention.

    Starlink Internet

I had a similar experience when the distribution box nearest my house already had all it's connections full (50-100 by the looks of it). They were not authorized to add a new distribution box to the area, and no doubt some of the installed lines are no longer active, but they did not have...

    Land ownership and registration certificate

Exactly right, it's basically a 'loophole' because foreigners may not own land, but it allows them to own a home in a multi-level. Someday, when the building is gone, the owner has no rights to the land.

Jobs with minimal Indonesian Language Skills

Language ability is not specifically a requirement, but relevant qualifications is a requirement. What is your education and work experience? Many jobs in Jakarta or Bali do not practically require Indonesian proficiency, especially in large tech/advertising firms, some departments of...

    EV in Indonesia

Charging while coasting and braking is a standard feature, I'm not aware of any EV that doesn't use it. Photovoltaic paint is not commercially viable, but some have toyed with covering vehicle surfaces with flexible PV panels. The amount of generation possible is pretty insignificant compared...
