Today I finally opened a Tanda 360 VISA debit account at OCBC. As discussed earlier, they offer free use of any ATM Bersama, no monthly administration fees, and free transfers to any outside bank in the ATM Bersama network if you have a balance of at least 10 million, plus free use of ATMs in...
I seem to remember South Africa being one of the nationalities accepted for a native English speaker at some point... I think I saw that in a job posting in Indonesia at one point, but I might be remembering wrong.
There are lots of teaching opportunities, full time or even just hourly...
I guess I was looking for a better understanding where one can't exist.
So I guess I'll never open the Qur'an ever. Too risky. I might have a slip of the tongue and refer to it in conversation. I actually have a copy but perhaps it's safer if I just give it away or throw it out.
Absolutely despicable. The whole thing never even made any sense to me. Perhaps you guys can explain to me, from the perspective of the prosecutors and anti-Ahokers (justified or not), what exactly did he do wrong? Quote the Qur'an, that's all? Am I missing something?
Haha wow.... Sorry! Please don't take anything I say so seriously. Sarcasm doesn't come across well in these forums, I'm reminded again. Or perhaps some just don't appreciate it.
And apologies to everyone else for derailing a great thread a bit with my stupid sense of humor.
That was meant as a (partially) tongue-in-cheek statement. But to answer your question: ...as opposed to shaving with an overpriced supermarket cartridge razor like my sister does.
To each his/her own. Sorry, I thought this thread was about wet shaving, which means using a real blade. :boxing:
Sure enough you can! Good to know, thanks! Silly me, I didn't find them before because I was searching for "blades," but you can find them if you search "silet cukur" or just "astra platinum." Good prices and faster than ordering abroad if you like the standard Astra SPs.
Pretty much the only thing readily available in Indonesia if you insist on shaving like a f***ing man is Thayers brand witch hazel. Love that stuff. There's a good selection on Tokopedia.
I recently ordered a bunch of stuff from West Coast Shaving in the US. Shipping was just under $20 for the lot. This included a DE razor, brush, assorted blades, alum, and a couple soaps. This is the online retailer I found with the best selection and willing to ship to Indonesia. Probably the...
Hmm.... I can withdraw with my US debit card and that's definitely not an ATM Bersama member. Any ATM that accepts Mastercard will give me money. But still, it's good that they cover the costs making it free for you.
I read it here, toward the bottom under "Charges and Fees"...
Of course I don't plan to lose my card, but life happens, and I've lost mine a few times in the past. Shouldn't be a big deal to just cancel the card and give me a new one.
I realize that Mandiri would be a convenient option for lots of people for the reasons you've described. But there are...
Mandiri has a monthly administration fee even for savings (though I think lower than BCA), plus an additional monthly fee for debit cards. And long lines. And they won't replace a lost or stolen card unless I bribe the police for a surat keterangan.
I think you might be right.
I've realized by looking at some banks' websites that I shouldn't assume I can withdraw for free using ATM Bersama. Although a bank may be a member, that likely just means a lower fee at those ATMs, reserving the truly free service to privileged accounts, such as...
The other thing I'm wondering about is fees. Do these banks charge monthly fees just for having a debit card, for example? Have you experienced any other annoying pointless fees?
If I want to avoid BCA and Mandiri (aka pest and cholera), maybe I should choose one that belongs to both the PRIMA and ATM Bersama networks. Wiki has a list of ATM Bersama member banks here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATM_Bersama
It also says, "In 2004 ARTAJASA made a cross-border ATM...
Oh, so they don't just accept any card. I know that many stores wouldn't accept my American debit card, and I figured it was just because it's a foreign card. But actually those places will only accept cards from specific banks? Dat's bogus.
