    Expats and having a Will

Hi, I am after information on how go about writing a will here in Indonesia? Specifically to include things like cremation and repatriation of your ashes to your home country, UK for example. I reckon you would need to sign up with a notary here and also solicitor in the UK. I am a KITAS...

    coffee lovers unite

Many years ago, on my first holiday to Greece, I was introduced to a Frappe. My initial reaction was shock at such a heathen drink, but I went for it and have loved iced coffee ever since. Each to their own : )

Indonesian born children speaking exclusively English

My wife is Indonesian (I'm English) and both my kids were born here. They are growing up learning both Indonesian & English, mainly by me only speaking English with them whilst my wife and her family speaking Indonesian. They go to a local school which covers English as the second language...

    coffee lovers unite

I'm not coffee expert but I do love an ice latte so I can take my time over it (hot coffee is gone in no time at all). So far I have favoured Opal brand which I buy in Aeon mall, BSD, TangSel, then grind and brew at home. I don't like the after taste of strong coffee so usually go for medium...

It depends on your point of view, in my humble opinion. I need to run, so will 'risk it' to get my fix and that means I have (and still do occasionally) run in some not so favorable places/conditions, by that I mean traffic and sh*te or no pavements. However I am always on the look out for...

Has anyone else signed up for the JCO run on 06 May at Mall @ Alam Sutera? I signed up early because I got 6 free donuts :becky::clap2:

Not that I'm bothered about my complexion (I'm not in a KPop band) but to add to your comments about AC. My post run routine is to finish the run before I get back to my house so I have to walk the last 800 home. This lets me cool down naturally. When I get into the house I'm straight into the...

I guess it all depends on why you run. If you are running to get fit/keep fit then a tread mill is fine. It's also very good if you are recovering from injury as there is less impact due to it's design. If you are training for a race then you will need to train outside at some point, to get used...

I've signed up for the Sentul Hill Trail run in August (30Km). There's a few choices of distance but if you want to enter the longer races (100K, 65K or 30K) you need to verify that you are up to a certain standard before they will accept you. The 'taster' run is full already. Should be fun but...

Hashing in Mogadishu sounds a bit dodgy and hazaradous! I managed a Hash in Quito, Ecuador an also Sarajevo, fun times too.

I did look up Jakarta Free Spirits along with many other groups and clubs I saw at the last race but haven't done too much about it. I'm not looking for anything in particular, I just want to get people talking about it and try and help people out if possible : ) Good effort on the 5k daily run...

Hi all, I'm a keen runner and there doesn't seem to be any post here about it so I thought I'd start one. We can discuss any sort of running, jogging, races, training, clubs, kit, fitness etc etc. I'm not even sure if there is much interest in running amongst expats here but we'll see anyway...

    Child dual citizenship process.

This was back in 2014, I don't know where it came from but we (wife and I) went to many photo copy/printing shops and they all said the same thing. I ended up using the business center of the hotel we were staying in and copied it all in there.

    Child dual citizenship process.

My son was born here in 2014 (Indo mum) and we got him his UK passport first then his Indo one. The biggest problem was getting colour photocopies of every page of his UK passport as it is illegal to colour photo copy some legal documents in this country. My daughter was born here in 2016 and we...
