Hi. Was wondering if anyone has any guidance on which websites/social media to use to find rental accommodation in Bali to avoid the tourist 'tax' 'premium'. I have been surprised by some of the 'list prices'? My preference is the Kerobokan, Umalas area but I am flexible. I am looking for a 1 bed house/villa/flat with a private kitchen. So far I have mainly focused on FB Marketplace, Rumah123 and Mamikos. Any help much appreciated. Thx.

Avoid the Bali tourist tax premium? Do you mean the $9 entry ?
Prices are prices. No website can tell your nationality
If you can't afford to come here then don't come.
There's literally hundreds of thousands of guest houses available from $200 a month depending on whether you want to share a bathroom and not have a kitchen.

More fancy rooms for a foreigner with an ensuite bathroom rather like a hotel room can be found for $300-$700 a month

Remember Bali is totally overpriced these days and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world especially for budget travellers like you hence the limited supplies.

A 1 bed house flat with a kitchen likely to cost you at least $800 a month these days

Remember legally you can probably only stay 60 days at a time depending what visa you use. Don't be smart because they send people to check and even if you are working or look like it.

Why not stay in a guesthouse / resort / hotel for some time and from there exploring for something else ?
Kerobokan, Umalas ? Have you seen the traffic there ?
