So, after more than 55 years and how many administrations, our President has accomplished getting the remains of US Servicemen sent home from North Korea. And, bye the way, what ever happened to ISIS? No more breaking news about those dick heads. Little to nothing from the mid-east these days besides them killing each other. Nothing on the news these days except mud slides, forest fires and volcanoes. Reckon President Trump is getting things done that previous Presidents just let slide. Good on him.

Or it could be the horrors that Trump is responsible for that are dominating the news, unless of course you watch Fox.

Not so sure ISIS has ever really posed much of a threat to the US:

https://www.newsweek.com/islamic-state-america-attacks-744497

Gun ownership & use by people with their own agenda seems to be the problem:

http://thehill.com/opinion/criminal...rization-of-murderers-is-the-epitome-of-white

Now , let's see- what is dominating the news- Trump/GOP in cahoots with Russia. Trump pissing off NATO(he managed that one with just his big mouth). Trump/GOP & all the missing children. Trump pissing off the UK (his big mouth again).
Calls for impeachment of Trump. Trump & treason. Trump and collusion.
What has he done for healthcare? (Serious question as I haven't heard anything good yethttps://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-38663043

Whoever accomplished the return of 55 boxes of 'hopefully' identifiable remains of USA fallen soldiers in N. Korea should be commended but it doesn't subtract from the fact that 78 people died in USA from gun violence in the last 72 hours.....http://www.gunviolencearchive.org/last-72-hours

Whoever is in charge of that 'state of affairs' doesn't get any commendation.

So, after more than 55 years and how many administrations, our President has accomplished getting the remains of US Servicemen sent home from North Korea.

While certainly wonderful news for the family members of these particular servicemen, there has been remains returned during previous administrations.

Between 1990 and 2005, 229 sets were returned, but this halted as relations deteriorated with the development of North Korea's nuclear ambitions.

Oh and also:

But Bill Richardson, a former UN ambassador who secured the return of six bodies in 2007, remains sceptical.
He told the Washington Post: "They'll give a certain amount of remains for free right away, but then they'll say, 'The next ones, we need to find them, locate them, restore them.' And then they'll start charging."

Since apparently NK is getting the US to stop military exercise with S Korea, I think it's a small price for them to pay.

If you're talking about the territory held by them in Iraq, remember the Mosul offensive in 2016? The one Republicans claimed were timed to help Hillary's election chances? I guess Trump gets to claim that one now.

If you're talking about just in general about shitheads blowing stuff up in the name of ISIS, then there were already 14 attacks in 2018.

While on topic of Trump's successes, here is a story about a 6-year-old girl separated from her mother under the Trump’s “zero-tolerance”, who was sexually abused, and was forced to sign a statement confirming that she understood it was her responsibility to stay away from her abuser. And while of course I use the word "success" here ironically, I suspect most Trump supporters won't.

How about $12 billion to bail out farmers necessary due to completely unnecessary "trade war"? I hope they drug test those farmers before handing out the corporate welfare checks.

Not to mention the Robert Mueller "Witch Hunt", which so far has successfully gotten 5 witches to plead guilty, and indicted something like 30 others...I lost count. And while some of those indicted are Russian, Trump has not dared to ask Russia to extradite them. But he has considered handing over a former US Ambassador to Russia for questioning.

Currently there's a very interesting program about Putin on the History Channel btw. It is really amazing the level of interference in the US elections. And it seems it will just 'disappear'; shrug and go on...

Plead guilty to what charges? I thought Mueller is tasked to investigate collusion with Russia.

a. Plead guilty to what charges? b. I thought Mueller is tasked to investigate collusion with Russia.

a.
Pleaded Guilty and Known to Be Cooperating...

1. George Papadopoulos
Mr. Papadopoulos, a former foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign, pleaded guilty on Oct. 5 to lying to the F.B.I. about a conversation with a professor during which he was told that Moscow had “dirt” on Hillary Clinton and “thousands of emails,” according to court records.
2. Michael T. Flynn
Mr. Flynn, President Trump’s first national security adviser, pleaded guilty in early December to lying to the F.B.I. about conversations he had in 2016 with the Russian ambassador to the United States at the time, Sergey I. Kislyak.
3..Richard Pinedo
Richard Pinedo, a Southern California computer science major, pleaded guilty in February to identity fraud after he created and sold fake bank accounts from 2014 through the end of 2017. While his indictment supported the charges Mr. Mueller brought against 13 Russian nationals for election meddling, a spokesman for the special counsel said prosecutors had “no evidence and there is no allegation he was a witting participant in the Russian efforts to interfere in U.S. elections and political processes.”
Mr. Pinedo has been cooperating with the Mueller investigation
4. Alex van der Zwaan
The son-in-law of a Russian billionaire and a lawyer who worked with the former Trump campaign aides Rick Gates and Paul Manafort, Mr. van der Zwaan pleaded guilty on Tuesday to lying to prosecutors about a conversation he had with Mr. Gates in September 2016.
In April, Mr. van der Zwaan became the first person to be sentenced in the special counsel’s investigation. He was sentenced to 30 days in prison and fined $20,000.
5. Rick Gates
Rick Gates, the former deputy chairman for Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign, pleaded guilty in February to a pair of charges, conspiracy against the United States and lying to investigators.
Mr. Gates also said he would cooperate with the special counsel’s investigation.

b.
The scope of Mueller's investigation is defined here.....

What is Mueller’s Jurisdiction?

The order by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointing Mueller states:
(b) The Special Counsel is authorized to conduct the investigation confirmed by then-FBI Director James B. Comey in testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on March 20, 2017, including:

(i) any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and

(ii) any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation; and

(iii) any other matters within the scope of 28 C.F.R. § 600.4(a).

(c) If the Special Counsel believes it is necessary and appropriate, the Special Counsel is authorized to prosecute federal crimes arising from the investigation of these matters. .

Several on the campaign have been charged, and some plead guilty, to lying to investigators about contact with Russians. And this is only the beginning.

The investigation has been going on for over 2 years and all they got is people misremembering minor details? Meanwhile, Trump has been really tough on Russia including wiping out hundreds Russian mercenaries in Syria, bringing attention to German's dealing with Russian gas, etc. Well, I guess Trump derangement syndrome is a real affliction.

"bringing attention"
Thats like Tottenham "applying pressure on Man City" in EPL

Come on, wake up. Next you will tell us he got NATO to pay more

If you want your posts to be taken seriously Asun ...and not another apologist for this president.....get your facts straight.

1. The Mueller Investigation began with the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller III on May 17, 2017. It is not yet complete and no details have emerged.

2. Re: Americans attacking Russian mercenaries....the Americans didn't attack...they were defending themselves and did a magnificent job...so your Hurrah should go to the USA military.
https://taskandpurpose.com/russian-mercenaries-syria-leaked-audio/

3. Most of Europe, not only Germany, gets its heating gas from Russia....see wiki....https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russia_in_the_European_energy_sector
The EU has consistently tried to wean itself from the hold Russia has over this product since the early 2000...it was a mistake but Germany is in a bind as it canceled its thermo-nuclear electrical generation and banned fracking of coal. So they need an alternative which isn't immediately available. If Trump was so concerned why didn't he offer US LNG at a price Germany could afford to convert and close the Russian pipeline? But Merkel is probably now wondering whether staying with Russia is better than hitching Germany's energy issues with Trump's USA.
Trumps 'revelation' that Germany has relied on Russian energy since the 1980's, when the pipeline was built, was widely known by intelligent people but is probably new news for those that pay homage to their supreme leaders amazing self-confessed intellect.....:pound:

It's a 1 year 2 month investigation so far, not "over 2 years". Investigations began May 2017. Also, some of the "minor details" include multiple counts of conspiracy against the United States, obstruction of justice, and money laundering. People that pleaded guilty to lesser charges were allowed to do so because they have information that will lead investigators to people higher up in the chain and agreed to cooperate. Standard plea bargain in an investigation like this.

I thought the Republicans were the party of law and order, surely you should want the investigation go on then. I mean what is the reason not to? Please don't tell me it's the money.

For your information here is how long other special counsel investigations have lasted in the past:

PS: Also, when resorting to name calling, you automatically concede you lost the argument.

I watched a repeat yesterday and agree it is enlightening. This Putin is one of the shrewdest and evil men on the planet since Hitler...and we haven't seen the end-game yet.
I'm always wary of documentaries that may just be propaganda for one side but the actual evidence and co-incidence regarding Putin's evil ways is hard to refute.
I'd like to see the USA forensically check all the USA $ held by Russian Oligarchs using the Magnitsky Act. I think Trump might squirm as there may be some tie-up with the Trump Organisation.

Didn't the FBI already start illegally spying on the Trump campaign by mid 2016? With the illegal spying and Mueller investigation, they still got nothing on Trump? Can it be that Trump is the best vetted president in history?

This has gotten so farcical that even the Russians are putting this ad for RT:

The only person that said the Trump campaign was spied on was Trump himself. The FBI, other investigators and many members of Congress, found that conclusion false and was debunked.

Even Marco Rubio, a Republican and Presidential candidate, who is on the Foreign Relations and Intelligence Committees, agreed there was no spying on Trump but they were doing their job investigating a known associate of Russians....

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said on Sunday he doesn’t believe the FBI “spied” on President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, as Trump and his allies have repeatedly claimed.
Rubio disputed Trump’s characterization during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, saying that FBI investigators were justified in their October 2016 wiretapping of Carter Page, a former Trump campaign adviser. The agents, it has been learned, had reason to believe Russia had sought to recruit Page as part of the scheme to subvert the presidential election.
“I don’t think they did anything wrong,” Rubio said of the FBI efforts. “I think they went to the court. They got the judges to approve it. They laid out all the information ― and there was a lot of reasons... for why they wanted to look at Carter Page.”

Asun....you keep repeating 'robotically' that Meuller has nothing on Trump....yet the investigation is incomplete. Maybe you are a Trump robot and, like him, never read anything. He already stated on TV 'all news is fake and the people should only listen to him'....

edit:
Carter Page had been on the FBI radar since 2013...long before the Trump Campaign had an office.....
"Page had been on the radar of the FBI at least as far back as 2013, when a bureau wiretap caught suspected Russian spies discussing their attempts to recruit him. Even after being interviewed by the investigators in that case, Page continued to have extensive contacts with Russians, including trips to Moscow in July and December 2016.

It is not clear what the FBI learned about Page's late-2016 travel abroad, which occurred just weeks after Trump's election. But five senior Justice Department and FBI officials signed off on three requests for extensions of the foreign intelligence surveillance warrant for Page; all the requests were approved by a federal judge, according to the Republican memo."

Huh? The FISA warrant clearly included the Steele dossier that is all bs. Even MSM has woken up to this:

btw what is MSM?......For those who may not understand it is best to, at least once, say what an acronym means.

Once again Asun you write with 'evidence' of political bias from a blogger well-known for political bias.

Your link is to an Op-Ed piece written by Laura Hollis (A conservative syndicated columnist and blogger).
She gives no references to her findings but 'blah blahs' as if she is privy to information which is only within the domain of Congressmen on the Intelligence Committee who have oversight and FBI agents who do the investigation and the Judges who approve the warrants on that evidence. The surveillance of Carter Page was initially approved in 2013 before the 'Dossier' was even written.
Here is the Fisa application from 2016.......https://www.businessinsider.sg/cart...s-factcheck-trump-lawmakers-2018-7/?r=US&IR=T

Her 'Op-Ed' is subjective, pure speculation and devoid of verifiable facts. If she has credible evidence of a crime her citizen duty is to report to the police...but heh!...why not first throw shit at a wall and see if any can stick!!!

As an aside I find it amusing that Trump's Administration are demonizing the Institutions that created American Democracy and yet...all the leaders of those great Institutions are appointed by the President. I thought HE was going to 'drain the swamp'...yet most of his appointees have been fired, resigned or are now being called liars or biased against HIM!
