Are there any Freight Forwarder services you recommend?

I haven't gone to Indonesia yet, but I'm assuming that there's going to be situations where I want to buy something, and the version of it that I want is only available from a company based in the United States, such as Amazon.

Are there any good freight forwarding services that can receive packages on my behalf, and then forward them to me?

Also, am I going to be eaten alive by import fees?

Amazon has the option to deliver to an 'Amazon Counter' which is usually located within a larger retail outlet/market. Perhaps they offer such 'Amazon Counters' in S'pore? Have your order delivered there, pickup while on a long weekend...

☆☆FYI: the order must be picked within 10 days of delivery, so timing is everything.

Yes, yes you are. Most items that you would want to purchase are in the 30% plus range. Customs will get the value from the internet and doesn't care how much the invoice says you paid. It only took importing 3 items for me to learn not to do it.
