Indonesian Government halts issuance of new work permits (except in handful of cases)

Ministry of Manpower, with Surat Edaran, halted the issuance of new work permits starting September 21, both from onshore and offshore. Excepted are the ones with recommendations from the relevant Ministry in charge for coordination of investments, or for urgent work, a recommendation from the relevant Ministry/Institution.

Extensions of existing work permits are allowed.
