Indonesia castration law 'will wipe out paedophilia'

It won't happen. Too many unreported cases yet. Too many family involvement cases yet. Just because your nuts shrivel up doesn't mean your brain does so the assaults will probably take a different form.

Indonesia could "wipe out" paedophilia with its new policy of chemical castration, President Joko Widodo has told the BBC.

If only it were that easy. What an illformed, ignorant comment to make.

And coming from the President to boot! Usually those types of idiotic comments are left to some lower level government official, usually affiliated with some religious political party.

But such a comment to the BBC from the head of state is an embarrassment.

He is ignorant and illinformed on a number of issues. Also with regards to castration, the reality is that Indonesian girls of 12 or 13 years of age are likely to find themselves the subject of unwanted sexual attention (catcalls) etc. from a large proportion of Indonesian men. Castrating a handful of men won't change Indonesia's culture.

Why can't they do this to the FPI members? At least it'll stop them ignan't sumbeaches from breeding.

Alan Turin being one of them - the prescribed medication eventually led to depression and eventual suicide for one of the greatest minds in the UK. His only crime was he was gay. He was recently pardoned and exonerated by the government on account of his contribution for breaking the Enigma code during WWII - bit late now. What a waste.

As for nonces - don't waste the syringes, shoot them like drug dealers.

I don't think people realise what a debt we owe to this man, he must have saved 1000s of lives, and his was totally destroyed by ignorance
