An article discussing the attitude of some Indonesian comedians after the Jan 7 police reports made by an individual named Rizki Abdul Rahman Wahid (claiming to represent the youth wings of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah, Indonesia’s two largest Islamic organisations).

I don't think Indonesian comedy is really a thing. If you're not allowed to make jokes about anything relating to politics, religion, sex, or anything that might possibly offend anybody, it doesn't leave very much to joke about.

Yet it is. Did you even read the linked article?

Is this about the Netflix comedy special Mens Rea? Lots of jokes about Indonesian politics. I watched the two opening acts, plus some of the headliner.
