DON'T PANIC.... well, maybe a little bit.

Basically, all new offshore visa approvals are suspended from yesterday.

    That's not nice.

Company KITAS to wife KITAP questions

    1. You have to move to wife-sponsored KITAS first. 2. Change of sponsorship is a couple of months process, especially in the pandemic time. Includes approval from the local Immigration Office (KanIm), Regional Immigration Office (KanWil), and Directorate General of Immigration (DirJen Imigrasi)...

I think the entire lead up is barbaric

Mocking Muslim religious customs, calling them barbaric, while living among them, is not very nice. As Indonesians say, if you don't like it, can leave anytime.

A good dentist in Indonesia is a kind of an oxymoron. There is for sure a good one, but nobody saw him/her. If you need a Dutch-educated and foreign practiced dentist that works in Indonesia, send a pm. The waiting list is 2-3 weeks and they work in hazmat suits (literally).

My friend and his family (4 persons) in Bali was exposed to an infected person. The local administration tested them with PCR the first time. The second testing should have been last Friday but was cancelled as there were no test kits. At the same time, the official number of infected people...

    183 day tax residence rule

You should apply for NPWP and report your pension. At the end of the tax year, you should refer to the double taxation treaty Indonesia-Netherlands, and as you have a tax credit of 37% on that, and as the max tax in Indonesia is 30%, you would pay nothing. Taxes paid for pensions in the...

    183 day tax residence rule

Nice to see so many foreigners-residents, with opinions and critics about the Indonesian government, bad handling of the pandemics, but not willing to contribute with tax payments. Their mere presence and spending, employment of Indonesians as servants in their homes, should be a privilege for...

DON'T PANIC.... well, maybe a little bit.

At the beginning of the pandemic, there was a discussion will the series of mutations result in a weaker virus. The article is saying WHO counts on stronger variants, not weaker ones. For that reason, we should hope that more of the therapeutics or repurposed drugs would work as well. I...

DON'T PANIC.... well, maybe a little bit.

4 days ago our business partner in Bali (woman 38, Indonesian) got covid with a 39-degree temperature on the first night. Smell and taste loss, meaning it should not be the delta variant. She took the first jab of Sinovac 5 days ago, so probably already had lower immunity after the shot. We have...

Regarding the article on this website "Prepaid Electricity in Indonesia: A guide to PLN’s prabayar system"

While I was living in South Jakarta, a heavily air-polluted area, as most of the city, the AC serviceman told me that the classical AC is better as it is more robust. Inverter AC is too sophisticated, the outdoor unit gets dirty fast with microdust, becomes less efficient, and lasts shorter and...

HOW do these strange financial companies get my number?

This is a well-developed fraud scheme with call centers. Organizers are not exclusively Israelis i think, but the center of operations is out of the EU (Slovenia is in the EU, so probably forwarding calls through that country)...

Agree. Our company also enrolled and never got feedback. All employees got already vaccinated by Sinovac and AZ in the meantime. Amazing info is that 44% of Jakartans have antibodies, meaning got covid already...

I think you should correct / or partially retract the info. UAE has many airports. 2 airports, Abu Dhabi and Dubai are just the most famous. Meaning the transits are allowed.
