What is amaizing to you?

What I find that is amaizing is that after maybe a million scores for songs have been written, they can still produce new arrangements. While chords and notes are used over and over, they still seem to find ways to mix them up and rearrange them into something completely new.

I’m amazed at people’s ignorance in general. The same people who lambast others for following scientific consensus and “mass media” are usually following “alternative facts” sources by fringe politicians, faith leaders, and outright quacks.

Winston Churchill famously said democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time. In the same vein I say science is the worst thinking method, except for all those other methods that have been tried from time to time.

Scientists and doctors are not perfect, and the scientific method is about continuously finding better and more accurate answers, even if it means discarding previously accepted solutions. I’m supposed to reject this in favor of conspiracy theorists and unscrupulous politicians, who never admit that they are wrong?

I’m amazed that the richest country in the world with most of the best universities on earth can have tens of millions gullible people.
