Visa C6

My path has been Sosbud/ Kitas/Kitap/ "permanent" Kitap so I have not bothered with other visa types. However I usually read posts about visas and with so much confusion and inconvenience involved in so many processes. Until this morning I had not heard of Visa C6 and could not find a reference in search. It is quite likely there have been posts about visa C6 and I just missed them. This visa may be useful if you have friends visiting.

"The C6 Social, Humanitarian & Volunteering Single Entry Visa allows you to stay in Bali/Indonesia for a total of a 180 days (6 months). You will get 60 days at arrival in Indonesia and you can extend it up to two times, each time giving you 60 other days of stay."

It seems a great option for people coming here to check out possibilities before maybe moving for a permanent stay. The cost applying through an Indonesian embassy or consulate it Rph 2 juta. I see there is an on line agency offering to process the visa for RPH 3.5 juta. This seems rather steep as the requirements are not particularly complicated.

... about visa C6 .. This visa may be useful if you have friends visiting.

If it is for your friends (mainly) to visit you , their best options are :

• 30 days VOA / Visa on Arrival , extendable up to 60 days total
• 60 days (single entry) Tourist Visit Visa (C1) , extendable up to 180 days total .

For the same stay time , the C1 has 2 advantages over the C6 :

• C1 does not require a sponsor/guarantor (they can request themselves) ;
• C1 is cheaper/easier to get

- Document Requirement:
1. Passport valid for at least 6 months ...
2. Personal bank statement the last 3 months period (including name, date of period, and #balance .
3. A recent color photograph.

C6 Visa - for a person who conducts social program, humanitarian assistance, or voluntary program in Indonesia

• Stay : 60 days extendable up to 180 days
• Cost : Rp2 million
• With this visa you can

Conducting activities related to social program in Indonesia .
Conducting activities related to tourism, and visiting friends or family.

- Document Requirement:
1. Passport valid for at least 6 months ...
2. Personal bank statement with minimum amount USD $2000 or equivalent the last 3 months period (including name, date of period, and balance account)..
3. Latest color photograph.
4. Proof of guarantee from the guarantor
5. Statement from a government agency or private institution that explains the details of the activities and trips of the foreigner during the stay in Indonesia.
