Thread Delay For New Posts?

I posted in the news thread but it doesn't show under New Posts. Is there an in built delay?

New Posts only shows threads with new posts unread by you. So it is normal that you don't see it there. I, however, saw it there until I read it.

To see all latest updated threads, you can click on "What's New", next to "New Posts".

Another thing. I'm trying to post a poll and have completed all required fields yet when I preview, I only see the top box or main message box whithout the poll, No poll shows. What am I failing to see?

Apologies as I understand this may well have to do with my usual dumbness.

It doesn't show on preview, yet it will show up if you post....just tried it myself. This is because the polll is not in a post, but appears on the top of the post.
