The government will soon require cattle importers to also import brood-stock by the end of the year in a latest attempt to recover the local cattle population.

I have always understood Broodstock to be fish, not animals. Do they mean breed stock?

Great location for a reactor really- one of the world's most volcanically active islands & highest populated one at that
Must be my ignorance in such matters but really it does not seem like anyone thought about the risk factor

It seems all so ludicrous that it is laughable... until a Chernobyl type incident happens... then it will be "ooh what happened, why did that happen? blah blah ... "
The world makes me laugh so often in a wry way.
If we knew a mere dot of a % what was going on around us we would live in terror.

I always thought the glow was from the nearby volcano (Tangkuban Perahu) which still gurgles and emits sulphur fumes.

Just realized...an active volcano near a nuclear power station...how apt for Indonesia.
Much like the idea to build a bridge between Java and Sumatra...right next to Anak Krakatau....
