Quoting in Xenforo is much more practical than it is in vBulletin.
Under each post, you will find "+ Quote" and "Reply", they are both the equivalent, respectively of
and
.
"+ Quote" will let you select multiple quotes and make an "Insert Quotes..." button appear near the quick reply box at the bottom:
And when you click on this button, a pop-up appears:
In this pop-up, you can remove messages that you do not wish to quote anymore or you can re-arrange in which order they will be quoted in your reply.
When ready, click "quote these messages" and your quick reply window is now populated with the quotes you want to add in the order you want. You now just need to add your own replies:
But that's not all.
Quoting a whole message is sometimes not needed when you actually only want to quote one particular phrase. Quoting the whole thing and trimming all the fat is cumbersome. Well, no more!
Simply select the text you want to quote by highlighting it by clicking and dragging across it, as if you were selecting a piece of text to copy and paste it elsewhere. Then you will see a tiny red pop-up with the now familiar "+quote" and "Reply".
