A rather concerning story with the ABC today with the collapse of an Australian battery manufacturer. Not just that the company is going bankrupt but that a major factor is that many of the very costly batteries it has been installing have failed very early on. I suppose as with cars, there are good cars and unreliable cars and so with batteries but a disconcerting development.

Collapse of Australian battery manufacturer leaves jaded customers with broken goods
Redflow had political backing and a soaring ambition to sell energy storage to the world, but its $10,000 batteries regularly failed within months of installation leaving customers out of pocket.
